Once you get all that set you can come resuscitate my snow thrower. I think I'm going to need it this El Ninyo winter. I forgot it had gas in it... for 2 years.

 

What are you running for head unit and amp (if any)?

 

Yes it is, different material and you have to get the correct size

 

Factory head unit and no amp. I’m just looking for a factory replacement

 

The stock head isn't bad, it just needs more power. I'm running it into a Memphis Audio line amp into a Sony DSP amp into Audio Frog separates and had it tuned. Not a skull crusher but great imaging and sound stage. And lots of sound deadening

 

All this radio and speaker talk brings me back to my issue with the Mrs' car.

The radio still doesn't work. Checked the fuses, all look good. Messed with the plugs on the door hinges, all good, dry, no water.

So it leads me to believe it could be 1 of 3 issues possibly: 1) the radio itself shit the bed, 2) the amp itself shit the bed, or 3) possibly some "module" shit the bed.

Or it could be a combination of these 3 things. Either way, sounds like a trip to the stealership is inevitable and

You look in an engine bay nowadays, and all you see is wires everywhere.

 

Buy a new carb from Amazon and throw it on there, easier than trying to clean the old one

Not needed. The tweeter has a filter of some sort.

 

Mine were bought as separate pieces so I had to get em. I did 6x9s instead and cut the doors.

I think one in my passenger side is busted, but if so that means I got almost 11 years of use. Not a bad thing.

 

Yeah... Radio turns on and powers up just fine, just no sound at all coming out of the speakers.

 

When I replaced the factory radio in my 2006 Colorado I had to add the OS-1 module for the chimes/etc (as those are from the speakers too). I suspect it's internal on the factory, IDK if you can add a second one to the wiring.

 

Beats the heck out of me! LOL

Mentally preparing my self for another arm and a leg at the stealership.

 

If you haven't yet, try pulling the battery cable for a couple hours or overnight. That should hopefully reset the body control module (which runs that thing).
