    A question for you guys:

Do you guys add air to your tires when you carry a passenger?

My bike’s suspension is electronic, so I can set that automatically.

    Thanks in advance.

will definitely look into those. already picked up some cheap ones off revzilla but can't hurt to peruse the options

I can imagine haha. here's how my chest looked day of lol...you can see the grip pattern. it's just a little yellow now, most of the redness is gone.

I'll have to look into bark busters down the line, not sure how much real trail riding i'll be doing since it's mostly desert down where I'm at, with minimal trees/brush.

I'd imagine it's probably a safety issue similar to a kickstand.

ouch that must have hurt emotionally dropping the bike like that lol.

Yeah the guy I was riding with was pretty impressed with how well I took the hit. TBH i would have kept riding if I didn't rip a callous off my hand as well. Though much more carefully lol

I watched that last night, I'm curious how well it works on the throttle side where it can rotate. I'll have to try it next time I strap a bike down and see how it feels

    it rotates the opposite way...

of course that is, unless you have the bike backwards with the straps going forwards

The way he has it run, it tightens from the bottom, which would roll the throttle open at it tightens? Still wouldn't love having it attached to something that can open/close regardless of which direction it rotates.

I'm sure he's a much smarter person than I am, though, so it could be all good and I'm overthinking it haha

I've seen bikes tied down that way before. It absolutely destroys the grips and can break the throttle tube. It's a terrible method.

If I do have to trailer any of my bikes I never tie down to the handlebars. I go around the lower triple clamp instead. Keeps any straps away from expensive painted bodywork or from over tensioning and bending handlebars.

Installed the MNNTHBX clutch springs and plate, OTB rear spools and a 1 finger lever clutch today. The clutch is so much firmer and snappier now!

Totally did not expect that within a few days of owning this bike I'd already start with so many mods...

I've swapped grips out more than once and to be honest there isn't much holding them to the bars to begin with. I don't think strapping the grips is a good idea.

Absolutely. Always check air at least once a week, and 100% change air pressure depending on load (just like in the truck). Im going to bet your manual lists different pressures depending on load. My Tenere lists 33/36 for single rider or 33/42 loaded.

Came here to say this. Also lots of bikes have bars that are rubber mounted and should not be used to strap down to. I will strap closer in on the dirtbike on the bars as everything is hard mounted, but grips ABSOLUTELY not. Tenere gets strapped around forks at the lower triple as to most street bikes due to fairings.
