the one thing I miss about smoking, got to take a lot more breaks at work outside.

nothing stopping me really from going outside for a few minutes now, but it just doesn't feel worth it

Plus can you imagine the awkward talk from a co-worker you just never socialized with?

"Hey man, where's your Tacoma? You got that snorkel right? Bet you can go hella deep in the water"

I don't take it to work much anymore, instead it will be my boss asking me for the 1000th time "when are you going to take those chrome strips off your fenders?"

I support it, where I think the gray area comes is in regard to a dog attacking a neighbor's livestock (like chickens). If they attack a person then most definitely, in some cases I think there shouldn't even be a "1 bite limit" with people, depending on how bad it was (like permanent physical damage to a person/child).

But many dogs have prey drives and go after small animals, I'm not saying it's okay those Huskies attacked and killed those chickens in a neighbor's yard but euthanizing them for it just seems extreme to me. I don't think that counts as an act of aggression, it's just in their nature same as it is for a lot of working/hunting dogs. Should the owner be held liable financially for damages? Totally. But forcing owner to surrender or euthanize them just seems cruel and unfair.

There's more to the story. What is curious is, she can regime them if the person gets them chipped and the proper enclosure. Why won't the court let the current owner do the same to keep the dogs? I'm guessing this is not the first incident with this owner and her dogs causing problems.
A decaf after a big dinner and dessertis actually pretty damn good without keeping you awake all night. You youths wouldn't understand.

Could definitely be the case, if so then she conveniently left that out but it wouldn't surprise me. If they are serial small livestock killers I still wouldn't personally equate that to them deserving euthanasia, but I know in the eyes of the law boundaries have to be set. From that perspective (if she's a repeat offender as an owner of these dogs) it is harder to defend her because she should be taking bigger measures to prevent this, as good as huskies are at defeating them. Being a repeat lends itself to why the court says she can't make the necessary changes to keep them but someone else can, ie: court told her to fix the fence but she didn't and they got out again. She said the police were involved, wonder if she would cough up the case/report number :spy:

Poor dogs though, 99% of the time it's truly the owners fault in these situations.

This is what I was thinking as I read thru this..

    My dog is 2 1/2 - he is a rottie/corso mix.
I put in the work to make sure he is a good dog and doesn't f*ck around.

I got a few neighbors that don't bother to train/discipline their dogs - drives me insane..
I see em being walked by the dog in a harness - o_O

One of the dogs is a threat. I had to call animal control and lay out this lady's history of dogs that attack. They came out and read her the riot act. Her dog is loose again - it is gonna have to be put down. It isn't the animals fault - it is hers 100%.

Two of mine are docile. The third, we are still figuring out. Pyrenees bread so super protective and very actively a guard dog. We get her out and socialize them often, and all things considered we could train her better but she does pretty good for 9months. The issue I had this week was a bunch of strangers at the house replacing the AC/furnace, I made sure to keep her away just as an abundance of caution. But like you, we know what we are doing, we train, we socialize and manage the situations they are put into. Its part of being a dog owner.
    PXL_20230824_130352252.PORTRAIT.jpg

That said, the three are still working on their pecking order and we do have some dog fights from time to time. We just let them sort themselves out, it's what the pack must do. But those glimpses I've had of her going into fight mode are what give me pause.
