Opinions on GEN2 front 5100 with 886 bumper w/winch

im starting to get weird feelings about the front setup i am about to install in a month or two which will consist of bilstein5100 at zero and ome886 springs with a winch and relentless bumper.

my worry is all that weight/pressure sitting on a little snap-ring

should i just get OME 90000????

I would keep the 5100s because there valved better (so I've heard anyway)

 

Are you considering this because you want zero-lift but want to support the weight of the new bumper?

 

dont mean to thread jack at all

but i know you guys are going to go off for using spacers but would doing the same thing the OP said, but instead of getting 5100s would just getting 886 coils and like a 1.5 inch spacer be okay?

i am considering this because the 5100's little coil spring seat ring scares me....

oh no....no no no

886 are meant for bumper and winch weight.....

them alone will ride rough and give you 3inches of lift....spacers on top of that is BAD!!!!!

 

thats what i figured. i was just making sure. are you ordering the steel or aluminum bumper? Also are you going to get new UCAs or just keep the stock ones?

 

have steel on order and LR uca's are under my kitchen table

 

oh nice nice!! let me know how everything goes cause im going to be doing this same thing as you pretty soon but i dont wanna get new UCAs cause theyre expensive when your only 18 with no job no one is hiring high school kids anymore

Thats my set-up and I will be changing the shocks out soon. Prolly going with ome's. They are valved to the 886"s to give a better ride, from what I've read.
