I still look at it now and again out of old habit. The whole G/O media group is bad though. Back in the day when Brian Lam was editing, Gizmodo used to be good.
The internet in general has gone to shit though.

    Really?

I remember only the older Fiat vehicles used a separate PCM and TCM; later models were integrated in one unit

    What year is it?

    Crazy they still did that

A lot of other Fiat vehicles had them all in one, which I bet would've been way more expensive

They kept shifting further and further left/woke. I don't want politics in my car news, but they starting publishing articles that were getting anti-car. It went from a place where you had hilarious articles and deep dive journalistic reports to bashing on car culture itself and politically motivated posts. As the article you posted, they got real lazy, and started just asking boring questions and relied on the commenters to build the content. I moved to the drive and I think it's like the old jalopnik it many ways, but lacks the humor of old.

The Drive can be good. I check a handful of others when the mood hits. These days in general I find fewer auto articles I want to read. Maybe because I'm getting older, maybe because the writing isn't as good and also like you said, there's less fun injected into a lot of it. YouTube didn't help, I think a lot of people that may have been on the journalist side are doing reviews and stuff there. Some are okay, most are just boring.

interesting to hear so many complain about the 200 being 'floaty and disconnect the driver from the terrain'....I haven't driven either but that's exactly how I felt driving he behemoth Armada a couple years ago that we rented. It felt like you were in a driving simulation more than actually driving, if that makes sense. I could see how some people like that but I prefer to feel more connected to the road I'm on. I guess that's why both my vehicles are 20+years old

This is America. Big people want big cars with big comfort. Feel the road!? Sir, that's for peasants.

Rebecca really liked it because she said she felt really safe in it, and I can see that being a big draw for a lot of people. It definitely felt like if you were to wreck it you'd just watch the accident unfold in plush comfort lol. Thing was massive

Yeah, I wanna feel the road in a car where it means something, but I'm good with some comfort around town and in traffic. I mean, not too insulated though. Those Armadas are whales.

To me it followed the Thunderbird path to become a bloated land yacht. Too big for trails. No feel for the fun switchbacks. Time to reset.

Hopefully not as horribly as what happened to the T-bird. Though there were some Fox body models that weren't bad.

I think one of the things I miss the most is Daddy Demuros writing. He has obviously moved on to bigger things but I wish he still would write articles periodically as I found his writing incredibly entertaining.
