New owner celebration event

Anyone ever attend one of these events? Is there any reason to go? Got the invite from the dealer I bought from but it is over an hr away though heavy rush hour traffic for me. Trying to figure out if there might be one at a closer dealer.

its just a feel good thing.

 

I went to one, they gave out tire gauges (presse and depth), ball caps, water bottles, and provided food (subway, chips, salad, soda, water, coffee). Not truly worth while.

But I did find out that there are a lot of people who spend lots of $ and know very very little about what they bought.

 

My dealer did same thing. Had vehicles in service bay area to answer questions. It was where I laid the ground work for my rear TSB. It worked.

 

This is what I was thinking, that maybe I could score some goodies. Probably wont go unless they do one closer to home, I bought my truck at the dealer that is doing this but it was a long drive as they were the only dealer I could find that had my truck. (JBL w/bluetooth package)

 

I am bumping this..

I received a notice for one where I bought my truck. It is November 17th... a Thursday at 6 PM.

They said they are giving away a 46" flat screen and various door prizes. Are there usually alot of people there? I know how to operate my truck and do maintenance, but I wouldn't mind winning a TV LOL. I also wouldn't mind talking them down on a bed mat.

 

There were about 12 pepole at the one I attended... Like I said lots of them know nothing about what they bought, that part was kind of ammusing.
