Surprised a gastro hasn't ordered that. After an endo/colonoscopy that's kinda the next step. (It's also how they test for some allergies) i have to get one, just been putting it off. Like you, already had the other ones. Fun stuff.
Sadly you have to push docs a lot of the time.

Don't some of those items require a drb scan tool to match to your vin or something

Should inquire ahead of time to get a quick quote; should be no more than 1hr so they should just charge 1hr labor

Oof forgot about that; I was thinking of just the programming part but yeah they'd want to install it (as you'd drive it there) so they can program it to work.

Really, I was just throwing caution in the wind so your best bet is just googling to see if it's not something vin locked that requires dealership intervention.

I hate dumb shit like that...waste of money really when they force you to the dealership.

Dang, you'd think Amazon (carrying everything including the kitchen sink) would have delrin or metal sleeves that are longer than a simple stand-off

I remember when VW wanted to charge me an hour of labor to update my fuckin radio, whereas European nations let customers do it themselves

    That sucks

And I say this not to defend Stellantis, but to point out their stupid ways (really a CYA on the dealer's part too, on top of being a money grab), the process is that many items that require programming to a vehicle entails the service manager updating RPO's and other vin-specific details

For instance, when we'd get a vehicle in and there might be a discrepancy or two based on what the model 'originally' comes with (whether it be a trim, or an option but only part of it), you can VIN inquiry on the dealer side and see the separate STANDARD features as well as OPTIONAL.

In that page, you'll have another list below as factory-available options that were dealer installed. Clicking it would bring up the date of when it was done, as well as the mileage and the dealership that performed said work.

This actually comes in handy especially when dealing with service-related issues on those specific add-ons as sometimes you had a tech at a different dealer (different state even) fuck up the job.

Have personally experienced in dealing with that as a manager.

Made it over Imogene: no issues at all. I even did some of the optional harder lines and barely ever lost traction.

@Wulf we made it most of the way up Yankee Boy but I turned back since Courtney was getting nervous, and I didn’t quite feel comfortable going up the last part without a locker.
