Fair enough... but you've only cited good changes, materialistic changes.

In just my lifetime, I've seen some changes:

1) People used to care about good manners.
Bad manners got you a knuckle sandwich, sooner or later.

2) Participation trophies.
Yeah nobody gave a f@ck back then and still don't, but we didn't used to have to pretend.

3) We used to have Crime and Punishment*
Now we just have Crime.

4) Tik-Tok and Facebook, et. al. didn't exist.
People got together for genuine social interaction.

5) People wouldn't dream of going out in public looking like bums.
Go to any Wal-Mart these days, and...


I could go on...
The point being, not all change is for the better.
