Yeah, clutch, throttle and some rear break for sure, they all play well together in a wheelie!

I am not a wheelie expert. I used to when I was younger. I never got comfortable with the balance point so I would just ride them out until I would hit the rev limiter and the bike would come down. The long wheelie riders would get to the balance point and use the rear brake to keep it there. They keep the bike from falling back and not falling forward using the throttle and rear brake. I need to start trying on the grom.

For the love of god, practice in a soft grassy field. Because you WILL eat it

I spotted a 2022 Grom with 124 miles on marketplace for only $3,200. Very tempting...

I know! It is a great price. But I'm also considering buying a camper or older jeep/ tj model. The wife and daughter are lobbying for the later because they would get to enjoy them right away. Not the case with the Grom.

I left work, and met the wife and kiddo at a park for lunch - don't have any decent WR pics since I changed the white plastics to blue and the barkbusters (or acerbic whatevers) from white to black - figured id stop for one.

Well...idiot that I am, I already have one...I assumed the trail would be pretty manageable so figured I could go without it. Won't be making that mistake ever again lol.

Noted on the PSI, seems I was definitely low and very lucky. No idea on the rim locks lol

There’s a Chinese Grom 150cc clone listed for $1600 near me that I keep looking at. Might have to pick it up this weekend.

After I almost took a stick to the sternum I got one. It caught my side, went into the front of my jersey and out the back. Scared the fuck out of me.

If there is a nut and bolt sticking out in the rim along with the valve stem you have them.

Ah that's what that is...saw that when I was checking tire pressure after getting home and was confused. I got them then.

Yeah tbh I should have known better. Most of my gear was gifted to me by a buddy in CO, who stopped riding dirt because similar happened to him, WITH the chest protector on. landed on a whoop crashed, and one of the handlebars went under/behind the chest protector and ripped open his chest. had to get it all stitched up and has a meaty scar from it.

All that to say I should have known better and was being dumb. But I guess good thing I learned that lesson early on while I'm still a noob?

Don’t do it. Worth it to spend the extra money on a Grom

Good looks! They look loose on supermotos because they are, intentionally (if set up properly).

There’s so much more suspension travel than a regular street bike that the chain would be way too tight at full compression

I have damn near the same bike.... the chain is waaay too loose in that pic. spec is 2in from bottom of chain to swing arm slider bolt (top side back one) when chain is pulled upwards and suspension fully drooped.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
