Yeah if you never left town and didn’t use it as a truck they make total sense. Guess it is good for flexing at Starbucks and Micro-Breweries.

Way too much “look at me” vibes for me, 1000 times worse than Raptors or Tacoma Pros..

    Rolf!
Exactly! I am ok with boring.

You can't repair them yourself anyway .When it comes to electric you need special gloves to work on them or you will die . And you can't just buy them

With a 500 mile range, even loaded up doing “rEaL tRuCk StUfF” it will be fine. I tow my boat 60 miles to the lake or my race car 120 to the track and otherwise don’t do much that needs extreme range so it would be a great choice for me, but I probably don’t USE MY TRUCK LIKE A TRUCK LIKE REAL MEN DO.

The point is that a 500 mile unloaded range means probably enough loaded range to do most TRUCK THINGS, but only if you don’t do REAL TOUGH MAN TRUCK THINGS and instead only do LITTLE BABY SISSY TRUCK THINGS

As I said be ok for running around town whether it is loaded or not and definitely not for traveling. It is a lot of money just trying look cool. There is no way the cyber truck is going to get 500 mile range, Musk is blowing smoke up your shirt.

No need to get all worked up over it. You’re shouting at guy who used to travel around in an air cooled VW Westy…could care less about the chest thumping man truck things. The 4G taco is a little too machismo for me. Do care about range though loaded down with camping gear, in hopes it doesn’t strand me. As they say chrome doesn’t get you home, in this case shiny stainless steel.

Even if it’s 400 miles range, and 200 loaded with my 1000lb camp trailer and gear, it would do 95% of trips without issue. I’ll take 5% inconvenience for far lower operating cost. A f150 at 15mpg is pretty costly, especially when most users spend more time not doing rEaL mAnLy TrUcK ThInGs than they spend doing rEaL mAnLy TrUcK ThInGs.

Typical contrarian turd, haven’t you been on here constantly worried about the reliability of a turbo platform? But you would by buy from a company with some of the worst known quality control in the industry? The whole project is a hot mess, they were supposed to be delivered in 2021, how did that workout? The whole company is sketchy and is built around false promises. When there is a problem on a Toyota production line, they stop the whole line and remedy it. Part of kaizen. Tesla lets cars leave the production line missing literal bolts so they can meet shareholder promises they shouldn’t have made. It looks to good to be true is generally a good rule of thumb for the brand. They have ambition but lack patience or experience to actually deliver good products.

It is not going to be 400 or 200 loaded. Lightning and Rivian towing test have shown it is right around 100 miles. That is a lot of stopping and waiting to charge. Seems like a huge inconvenience. Even the CEO of Ford admits traveling in an EV is quite challenging.

I’ll spend more money for more convenience. 15 mpg F150 with a 36 gallon tank is an easy 540 mile range. Have an upcoming trip to Washington, I can get there and part of the way back without having to stop for fuel, and when I do it is mere minutes to do it.

Even if it’s 120 miles, it will do everything I need for the rEaL mAnLy TrUcK ThInGs I do. Not everyone pulls 10000lbs across the country regularly. If you do, choose a different vehicle

When is Toyota going to stop the production line and put in frames that don’t rust away. :D
