huh, that new Magnuson supercharger for the 3.4l just went up for sale at $4,000....gotta say I thought it was going to be a fair bit more than that. About the same as the previous one went for ($3,700)

well, after 6 years our landlord called and very apologetically told us he has to raise the rent. I knew this day was coming and honestly 6 years is probably a longer run than most everyone gets, esp in this crazy economic climate.

I braced myself for a huge hit and it's.... another $100/month

 

I'm not convinced there is much performance benefit with the the newer 1320 version.

 

yeah I'm gonna hold off on believing the numbers until the reviews come in comparing the two, but it's nice they didn't price it at 5 or 6k like I really expected it to be. Hell the old 3.4 one used to be close to $5k not that long ago I thought?

yeah he's a really good guy. I kind of figured this was going to happen because we had to have an HVAC guy come out to give the AC some much needed maintenance and a new t-stat last week, I'm sure that bill was what finally pushed him over the edge lol.

 

6 years and $100 raise is great. I know someone who just bought a house and popped the rent up $500 on the people living there because the previous landlord never once adjusted. These people were only paying $1K for a whole house lol. Even $1500 is generous.

 

Zero rational reason to like the new LG TV in a suitcase, but I do. This is the weird shit that was sci-fi futurism when I was a kid.

At least it isn't leaps and bounds anymore... Like late 90s through 2010. It's modest changes to panel technology and support for huge resolutions. But the huge resolutions don't hardly have any content sources and the few that do are so low bitrate it isn't a big quality difference.

 

I don't have a tv but I thought that was just a cool thing to see.

 

I take it back, I still have a small one of these. I even have a USB-C to RCA cable for it which is pretty funny.

Still pissed I got rid of both of my VCRs. Prices during the pandemic went nuts. Haven't looked in a bit but need to get another one.

 

For as little TV as you watch, agree wholeheartedly that you and many others don't need to waste the money. Bedroom TV is years old as its one of the first OLED LG's to come out. This shit was with me at my other house, the apartment, and now here

They've got 8K out and no 8K content. 4K will be around for a long time for sure.
