Quick, but dumb question. I've read the rules, but I'm still not clear on if only Tacoma or automotive related ads can be posted here.

Technically Tacoma, but I don't think anybody will complain about other items. They just may not get the same traction as if they were posted in a forum specific to the item

Thanks. I actually do have some automotive stuff (tools) that I'd like to pass on to anyone who can use them as I'm not moving them with me. I'll post an ad with pictures, per the rules. Just have to get the pictures.

Yes, but I don't want to run afoul of the rules by giving details. I'll try to get some pictures and figure some asking prices over the next day or so. The goal is to move them along, not stare at the "In Box tab waiting for someone to PM me.

Like someone else said, chit chat it up here or the NE BS thread. Just don't post whore like IDK or LOL and you will see the count rise fast. Where are you located?

I mean I am not too far away from you and my inbox is open perhaps.

Perhaps I can TW X if needed.

    ALL SOLD

As promised some "vintage' tools for sale. All prices are negotiable, of course, but since the rules require a price for items I'll post prices These date back to the '70s and '80s, but have been in my garage since the late 1980s collecting dust. Some of you work on vehicles other than Tacomas, I think.

First up is a floor jack. I bought this from Sears as a "special value" sale back when there was a Sears. I've used it to lift things around the house, but it hasn't been under a vehicle in some years. No visible leaks.

    $40.00 or best offer.

Drum brake tools. I don't think that drum brake tools have changed much and of course Tacomas still have drum brakes. The plier looking thing is a KD No 430, for removing interior door handle springs.

$15.00, or again make an offer.

Trim removal tools. The KD 430 in the other picture goes with this stuff. Also, the bonus distributor tool as well. The Y shaped thing is for removing windshield trim.

$15.00, or again make an offer.

Big C Clamp from when you could just compress the disc brake pistons back into place doing a brake job. Oil filter wrench, oil spout from when oil came in cans, two pretty heavy brass drifts, and a battery terminal cleaning tool.

$15.00, or again make an offer.

Also, the no name breaker bar for $2.00.

I'll offer a substantial discount if you want it all as it has to go. We're not moving anything that we won't be using in our new homes and other than checking tire pressures and replacing air filters my days of working on vehicles are over.

PM here with offers, of course.

Good for me that isn't a 4door.... if it was, it would be exactly what I am looking for(1st gen, manual, TRD, 4door)....

    That'll move...

Side note. I used every one of those tools when I worked for my dad. That's how I ended up with them. That includes that ice pick looking brake tool that's used to remove and replace the springs on the drum brakes. It slices into hands quite nicely. Ask me how I know. ;)

1st gen DCSB was never available in manual from the factory. They were all automatics. I don't know if anyone got into the business of converting them, so luckily you won't have too many chances to find one.
