I have a pair of glasses and sunglasses I ordered online, no complaints from me. It was a simple process once I had the Rx from my optometrist. Mine are distance vision and readers, conventional readers on the glasses and progressives on the sunglasses as that’s the only way they make the sunglasses. I’ll order online again if I ever need new glasses. I bought mine through eyebuydirect.com

I was looking for my new batch of contacts and the best price that isn't a shady looking site is Costco.

I have been wearing bifocal safety glasses for quite a few years (readers).

Just last year I discovered they had tinted ones too, game changer for mowing & outdoor work.

These are the ones I have been buying, this outfit has been good, I see on other pages they offer prescription glasses in several configurations too - snowboarding, fishing, computer, etc.

It is only a 3/8" drive, probably not enough power for the job -- I'd still take the cookie though. ;);)

Although by the time it traveled 1200 miles to me it probably wouldn't be quite as nice.
(...and I bet he ate it already...) :(

    I already eated it.

    The cookie, not the tire.

Question for the small group here...
As I get older I seem to think more about the past haha, what I have done, what I need to do and what CAN I still do.
In that thinking, I have been trying to decide what my favorite project ever was.
So, what are yours? It can be something you build, a service, a person... Anything! Always fun to discuss.

Every year that I get to climb a tree at least 100 times to bowhunt...I call that a good year. I doubt I have many more of them left.

My favorite (and, to be honest...probably only) project was redoing the inside of my shop. I really couldn't mess anything up so there was zero pressure. Plus....everything was free except the screws, I think @RustyGreen would
    appreciate that. :)

    Here's entirely too many pics....

I was over at my 10 year old nephews house the other night, we share a first name coincidentally, he was named Hunter before I started dating my wife, I think his daddy would've named him Killer if it was up to just him. Anyways young Hunter couldn't wait to show uncle Hunter what junk he had dug out of the trash and signs hes accumulated. Kid is ate up with and it's my fault. Oh well at least he aint up to his eyelids in Pokémon like his little brother.

My favorite project was the kid who worked for me for 10 years before I retired, he started life as a "wrong side of the tracks" kid.

In factories everybody comes to Maintenance with their home problems -- a dryer not working for example. Most folks (perhaps understandably) want you to say "go here, buy this, put it there" and have the dryer working again. End of story.

He was different. He would ask "what does it do, why did it go bad, what is that tool you are using?".

He was a bit of a punk if that word is still valid.
I called him into the office and said "if you weren't so smart you would be a little @$$#ole and tick me off -- but you are smart and I'm willing to give you an opportunity".

I told him (hundreds of times over the years) "I had to learn everything on the uphill grade and paid full retail for every lesson I learned -- pay attention here and you don't have to".

I spent 10 years trying to cram absolutely everything I had ever learned into this kids head, he wanted to learn everything - all at once - right now.
It is so enjoyable to teach someone who genuinely wants to learn, some things I had to study and learn more about so I could do a better job teaching him.

At a way back job the equipment moved so fast that it routinely shook itself apart, most guys got good at putting it back together fast. o_O

This seemed like a lot of work to me so I got good at having it not fall apart instead.

I always focus on the "why" of the service call, the goal isn't to make the machine work, lots of people can do that -- it is to figure out why it broke down in the first place - and how can we insure we don't have to come back here and fix it again.

He paid attention, was a heck of a worker and he worked hard at it - that kid who started out as a minimum wage worker can now get a good job & be a top performer anywhere he chooses to go.

I order my glasses from Amazon. They are around $25. I'm near sighted which means I can't see good far away. I know my prescription (-1.0), so you just choose that and they ship them to you. Decent quality too!

I see a familiar plate! :yay:
