Sorry about your lack of judgement there
But everyone is right, this will take the money of buying another 2nd Gen to get fixed

You have a couple options depending upon how handy you are:

take your motor and put it in another tacoma that needs a motor

    or

part the whole car out, pay your dad back, but something else cheap or if you get a loan get full coverage insurance this time

I bought a 73 Chevy from my friend, we pulled it out of a pond. Paid $300 for it

    sold the axles for $400
Trans and t case for $400
    Engine for $100
    Doors for 140
Grill and front support for 100
Old wagon wheels with rotted tires for 200
    And the driveshafts for 150

then scrapped the body and frame for $250

    took two weeks

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I'd see if you could find a rusted frame truck and buy the cab to swap on. Plenty of trucks with bad frames out there that have cabs that are absolutely fine

impressive....I'd think getting a windshield back in would be impossible. So there is a chance.

I assume the frame is fine? If so, since like most pickups Tacos are body on frame (vs unibody), as others have stated you can get the needed cab/body parts from salvage truck(s) and replace. It SEEMS it was just totaled for reasons of the BODY without regard to the frame (but yes, it's not drivable in current condition).

If something can go wrong, it will. Doing things like donuts is fun but increases the chances of something going wrong. So I ask myself, if I do this, and the worst possible thing happens, what are the consequences. We live, make mistakes, and hopefully learn. What could I have done differently to not be in the situation I’m in. At 60, I still make stupid mistakes but I try to figure out what I did wrong. What should I have done instead of what I did.

Check with your state DMV before swapping a new cab from a rusted frame truck. The cab has a VIN and your state may require you to get the matching title. If that happens the truck will be a legal rebuilt title.

a jack, some plywood, and a 4x4 will quickly straighten that cab out close enough for glass but I agree with other posters that the integrity has been compromised and it won't take another roll over.

Be extra careful if you're gonna fix it up and drive it around. Your insurance already totalled it, so if you don't get it rebuilt with a salvage title officially, any damages, or anything resulting from an accident in this truck, and you will be financially liable, possibly legally
