6 inch lift question,

Hey guys, its time for me to buy a full on 6 inch lift.

Right now i have a billie 5100 all around with eibach coils and a 1 inch block in the rear.

Is there anything i would need to purchase or can i use the existing bilsteins with this kit? I have 33s already too.

Looks like everything, get ready for some negative comments on that lift choice tho.

 

i had same questions, everyone on here says don't do the tuff country, a lot have said its cheap, and everyone thats used it has had there alignment messed up. One guy on here had it, but removed it and installed procomp or fabtech, not sure which

 

Im sure people will think its negative, but i dont have the 2200 or whatever needed for pro comp or fabtech kits. even 1800 is a stretch. its what i can afford now with the money ive worked many long weekends for during school.

 

But it someone has a good reason why the extra 800 is really worth it, im more than happy to hear the reasons

 

i know feeling man! im saving right now for procomp stage one. you can order it from 4wheelparts right now for $1300!!!! may want to check it out

yes sir! i have been doing this research forever, i was wondering why there is such a price difference. and i seen it was on sale, hopefully this helps you out!

But, question for you, and you may have no idea. but whats the difference between the EXPK5073B and the EXPK5066B kits?? they seem to be identical but im nto sure. same price and everything, Any ideas?

 

one of them is for VSC, if you read the fine stuff, EXP5073B requires at least 18 inch wheel, EXPK5066B requires at least 17 and it is for normal trucks

 

so i have to buy new rims and tires now?!

 

you can run wheel spacers possibly, but, more than likely you'll have to upgrade, besides the fact that my truck had 17" opt wheel package, i went with 17 bc i knew i was doing 6" in future.

 

but i have 16 inch pro comps with 285s on them already on my truck and those wont do?

 

i am running 16" s with spacers on my 6" fabtech lift. Clears everything fine.

 

sweet, looks like your in luck! hopefully procomp and fabtech arent much different

 

I dunno if the pro comp will work though the spindle setup is a little different then the fabtech spindles.

whats the difficulty with 16 inch rims? do they rub on something other than plastics?

 

No i dont have any pictures but all snap some tomm when the lights better and send them to you. But the problem with smaller rims is clearing the tie rod ends.

 

yep, if you have enough Backspacing or wheel spacers you may be fine though
