Hope there aren't no computer glitches with the new Tacomas, like what happened at Toyota plants in Japan.

Is this truck on schedule? Does anyone outside of Toyota now what the schedule is?

We aren’t manly, we both own chick trucks. :p Hell, own two of them…I should start wearing dresses and go on hormonal therapy.

It will be interesting to see how the CT tech will become a bell weather for any future pickup manufactured after it rolls off the line.
Over the air updates makes it easy to stay far ahead of the competition.

Because saying super manly truck things over and over sounds silly. Plus we all know the only manly trucks are diesel duallys.

Maybe they will eventually make a second version of the truck with a normal looking body.

    Always someone bigger…

…am fine with my masculinity and my chick truck. Most of my dirt bike buds have 1 Tons, they make fun of me, “dude you need a bigger truck! You load the shit out of that chick truck” I know I know…but I like this sissy thing. No power, payload is shite, towing is worthless, mpg is dismal…but love the little thing.

Dealer says "allocation" starts next week, and colors/packages should be known by Monday. Whether this means I can actually order one next week I don't know, but at least it sounds like I'll be able to spec it out to be one of the first on the list. I'm debating between Prerunner (everything I need and nothing I don't) and Off Road manual. I was considering the Sport manual, but my salesman said the Off Road will be easier to get and the price will be the same. I'll believe the price being the same between Sport and OR when I see it, but this guy has sold a lot of Toyotas and is rarely too far off when he says something. This is Durango Toyota BTW, a very reputable dealership that I've done business with many times before. Updates will be added when I find out more, but this is exciting!

The Sport and Off Road have basically had the same price (when configured the same) since all the way back to the 1st Gen.

While some of that may be good, I doubt sales even knows pricing yet. I'm curious how loaded a Off Road will come in at.

If allocations start next week, they must be giving the '24s to the automotive press for full tests soon. I'm dying to see a comprehensive test and write up the new Taco. I feel like Toyota should've started letting the press drive the new truck back when they made its official debut.

Has XtraCab Off Road been confirmed? I was under the impression that Prerunner was XtraCab only.
