eBay + alcohol shenanigans usually result in something fun. This time, another old Thinkpad, listed as open-box, but they neglected to mention the French keyboard lol.

Went to the shop (the latest one, even closer to home) to pick up some remnants.

Two 4' x 1.5' sheets of 12 gauge and a 2' x 2' of 3/16" cold rolled....let me have it all for free

Just a T480 this time. Every TP nerd won't shut up about them so I thought I'd give one a go, and a company listed 4 quite cheaply. Last TP with swappable batteries too, which is nice. Shit I don't really even mind the keyboard, but its an easy swap.

 

Never had one of those, I haven't bought many after they became lenovo

 

Yeah I was a bit biased toward the older ones too, but they're still good machines for money. I only have two modern ones now, the P14s gen 2 Ryzen 7 and the T480.

 

@Speedytech7 The T480 is one I can beat up now. I've been doing more field recording lately while out stills shooting, and its nice to have something I can chuck in a bag and sort of not care about and that can take the beatings. Plus for sub $200, its hard to complain.

 

Ugh. My thinkpad decided today that none of the usbc chargers are sufficient and won’t charge at all.

 

Well that's not fun. Though last time that happened to me it was the charger.

 

Quesadillas, banana nut muffins, wheat thins, wheat crackers, goldfish crackers and strawberry/banana fruit packets. Occasionally she'll eat broccoli if it's cooked right (I'm the same way). That's what keeps her alive

 

We always have those wheat thin + cheese snacks stocked up in the fridge
