I went back and forth between Fabtech and Procomp, I couldn't make up my mind. I think I read almost every thread out there. They both seem to have pro's and con's. Some shops are so passionate about which is better. lol
My intent is not to invoke another which is better thread but thought I'll share the reason I went with Procomp.

    1. I'm having it installed at a Toyota dealership so everything is covered under warranty and they have been installing Procomp lifts and does not have much experience with the Fabtech. I thought it'll be better to go with one where they have more experience with.

    2. I'm installing a Helo maxx 6 black 20x10 wheel (-12 mm w/4.5 bs) with a Nitto Trail Grappler 35x12.50 tire. I was going to get 18 inch wheels but I saw some Tacoma's with black 20 inch with 35's and they look great! As you can see I'm going purely for asthetics, just being honest. I had 33's and 16 inch wheels on my last Tacoma and tired of the ballon look.

From talking to some pro Procomp shops and reading some threads the Procomp 6 inch seems like it will fit a 20x10 wheel better than Fabtech. Even on their website Fabtech recommends an 18 inch wheel max for a Tacoma. Is there any truth to this?

    3. Also from the same shops they said that the MX6 shocks on the Procomp are alot better then the Dirtlogics. Rides better and smoother. Not sure if this is true either.

In the end the main reason I went with Procomp was reason 1.

I feel another; Toyota dealership f-up my truck; thread coming. Seriously, I would think about getting another shop to install. What are they quoting for this, btw?

They quoted me 4500 installed for the stage two. It seems pretty comparable to other shops. I don't really have choice other then go there for warranty purposes. I went to another dealer and the guy said they've never done one but can figure it out. Lol those were his exact words.

Nothing yet, just saying alot of threads about how the dealerships have done more harm than good on these forums. Face it; those are oil change, lube & amatuer body shop folks at best at most dealerships. Not all, but most are clueless & I wouldn't let any of them put a lift on my truck, I don't care how convenient or it was or how many they said they have done, but that's just me. Good luck.

Hey, Country Hills Toyota Matrix Motorsports. They do alot of Procomp lifts there and specialize on afermarket parts and its all covered under warranty. They did my last OME 3 inch and did a great job.

Can't help wondering if the OP went back to stock since the truck was sketchy AF at xway speeds.
