I bought a 1988 4x4 with the 22rE and 5 speed. The slave cylinder is out of it and the bolt toward engine is broke off slick on the slave cylinder. Cant get a drill to it to drill it out. Any ideas? Dont have a welder.

I am not sure if with the drive shafts removed and the cross member removed if you can drop things low enough to access with a drill. Trying to drill out a bolt under the truck sucks!!

If not you have started to pull the transmission.

In any case you need to remove the transmission and either swap bell housings or drill the bolt out.

Time for a new Clutch while things are apart??

A shame your so far away I would love to help!

You might try epoxy but I don`t think it will work on seized broken bolt.

    Best of Luck!!

This is a question on TOYOTA TACOMA 3.4 What is the flare type Factory- used going into the (Slave Cyl.)-Clutch? ( I had to cut off at the slave, and need to run a braided line straight up to the master)!

indeed It was a statement saying the OP had expressed the broken bolt in fine fashion .

No need to take pictures. it is a local Pa expression.

    Most often expressed at females!!

Ok here it is without slave cylinder. Can probably run a couple beads on it to build up and weld a nut. I installed the new slave to just get it up to a friends house with a welder.

Heat red hot you might be able to use needle nose vice grips and get it out.

    Good luck!

I would dremel a slot.....soak with pb blast.....

and do what Bivouac said......red hot....and take your time...

If you had a hand impact....I'd tap each way....rock back and forth.....and then go for it and back it out....

If you were here....I'd do it for you....

I have made sure the inside of the boot is inside the bell housing.

Parts quality is slipping so very much.
