What's going on everyone. Hope you're all well, I've been 9n daddy day care duty so limited online time but still here.
I'm curious as to what tires everyone is running? My cooper st maxx's have hit the end of the trail and can't figure out if I stay the same or switch it up.
And dirt roads are an everyday part of my drive.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I was running the Revo 3's (https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tire/dueler-at-revo-3/265-50R20/) and really liked them. They did well in all conditions. However, I blew out two sidewalls on trails. I bought KO2's Kevlar edition and two sets for a while, using the KO2's for trails and the Revo 3's for DD. I'm now running the KO2's full time on after market wheels. I like them, but they are heavy. Tires are 265/70/17.

I had revo's on my last truck and they were great for road and highway, but I had a couple punctures once I got into that shale type material out in Green Ridge S.F.
As for the ko2s I drove other people's cars that swore by them but I wasn't impressed w/ wet or snow traction. Maybe they are significantly better since the kos. Going to try out my buddies truck w/ them this weekend.
My coppers are 255/80/17s so heavy is normal;):ballchain:

I've had them in all conditions, including about 3" and snow and slush at the Grand Canyon North Rim and they were good on the road. It melted before we got off road, which led to some pretty good mud on both rims. We aired down for the south rim and never had an issue with getting stuck, even we were sinking 3-4" for 200-300 yards at a time. I do like the additional sidewall protection. Shale took me out on both flats, one at Flagpole, one at Sleepy Creek.

Wild peaks, I just put on a second set. Got about 50-55k out of the first set. They have 255 80 17, decently priced although not as great price wise as they were the first time around. I should note I’m still running the p rated tire, the 255 is an LT, not sure about the load rating though.

I should also say that I think a bad alignment is what led to 50-55k change. I think I could have gotten 60k+ had I noticed my alignment was off sooner.

comfort wise they are fine, same with noise. I think you know what you’re getting into with an off-road tire haha

I'll be the outlier and recommend Yokohama. I am running 285/75/16 Yoko Geolandar G003s, which were actually the cheapest 33" (of the AT/MT/Hybrid varieties) I found when I bought them last fall. They are a mud tire but pretty damn quiet for one (no louder than my old ST Maxx), and they perform well on dry and wet (think Hawaii rain). Granted, I don't typically hoon my truck and kind of drive like an old man. Can't comment on snow performance yet. I wanted an off-road capable tire until I can afford to run multiple sets based on circumstance, and so far they have fit the bill for me. Plus, the Yokos run a bit narrower than other brand's 285s; mine are about the same width as my previous 255 ST Maxx tires (skinny for the win!). I always said I would put another set of ST Maxx and did love those tires, but they got prohibitively expensive and I am getting similar performance out of the Yokos. Good luck and let us know what you go with!

The factory battery finally died. Wifey stopped on the way back to work (lunch break) for a free coffee from Panera. Click clikck click. Called in for a tow truck jump start. Time frame was an hour to an hour forty five. Gee wiz man! I ran across town, jumped it with my jump pack and sent her on her way. Pick up a new Duralast AGM for $250. And put in at her office when I got off work.

Hearing stories of the stocker only lasting 2-4 years. I think I did good at 3 and a half months shy of 5 years.

I'm pretty sure I'm going on 6 years on the stock battery....I should probably swap it out for a new one

Looks great loaded. Probably ugly when not. I still dig it though.

Ive been lucky enough to have batteries last around 7 years. Granted that was a while back, and vehicles nowadays have a crap ton more electronic gadgets in them to run. My old camry, i finally changed the battery because i couldnt start it in summer with the ac compressor on. If i turned it off it fired up fine. Figured it was time at that point. I need my ac

Got my fairfax personal property tax bill. 1600 bucks just to own a car in this county. Ridiculous.
