Depends on what you compare it to.
It's not a craft beer, but then again, it's not priced like one.

By price, their competition is mass market beer (and they seem to be aiming to expand distribution across the whole country).

Mass market beer is all much of a muchness.
Brewed in massive vats with high temperature tolerant yeast, so as to ferment quickly.
Only given a day or so to "rest" before being bottled/canned and shipped out.

Yuengling is, IMO, the only one that's definitely different from the rest.
Anyone, and I mean anyone, can distinguish it from all the rest of the big selling beers.
