It was quite good. Fresh picked corn mmmm
Today is the day the neighbor and friends husk the leftover ears, take the kernels off the husk, put them in vacuum seall bags and put the corn up for winter dinners :D

There was a lot of food (brought by everyone) but my time was spent enjoying the corn . After I had my fill, I was ready for a nap. 5 ears was enough.

    Have a good one folks.

Welcome to being the old farts of the family. Actually, not a bad gig.

Son is doing burgers today on the grill. I pulled out enough ground beef and ground pork to make up two meat loafs that I will freeze for later use.

Sounds interesting. Recipe please, if you have it written down.

Good morning. Slept in till 8am, long night. Thank you everyone for the well wishes to have a good time, we did have a good time. @ndoldman59 your reference to Nazareth brought back memories of the first time I saw Lynard Skynyrd in 76 at RFK and Nazareth was on the card. The concert last night was really great. All three bands were worthy of being the main band. From what my son told me Lynard Skynyrd and ZZ Top alternate closing the concert on this tour. Parking was easy in and easy out. Pedestrian traffic was a high priority for the LEO's directing traffic. Concert was from 6:30 till 11:00pm.

I am about 30 min from Baltimore depending on traffic. Last night we were in Columbia Maryland in between DC and Baltimore.

Good Morning Porch Crew. Have a great day! The lake is very calm this morning.

Went to the Head Waters of the Mississippi yesterday a lot of people there standing in the ankle to waist deep area, it was hot 95. It's only 15 minutes from the cabin.

    Morning all:

    NO !!!!!!
I had mentioned that my buddy and I and a lot of others didn't get an ear tag with the doe lic., called the game commission and they said I would be getting another lic. in the mail with the ear tag. My buddy got his replacement lic. with the tag, I didn't, so I called the game commission AGAIN on 8/28 and they said one was "SUPPOSEDLY" sent out and that I should have got it, and that they would send out another one and to look for an R in front of the barcode (R=replacement) just in case the supposed one they already sent out would show up! :annoyed:
Still have until 9/30 when archery opens, as of right now I have a doe lic. without the required ear tag, which means I can't legally shoot a doe, I'll wait 2 wks., and if it's not here by then It's time to go to the state reps. office with a WTH is going on here. NOTHING'S EASY!!!

    Indeed.
Backside of the high. Supposed to be Swamp Azz for most of the week.
Took the Nova for a spin at the beach early this morning while it was still cool enough.

Good Afternoon Porch Pals & Sue! Got up early for the Pflugerville show, and I'm glad I threw my little cane in the truck. Twisted my hip again Saturday, which screws up my knee. Was not as annoying as Saturday, but I still needed a little assistance getting around. Glad I had the chair too. Busy show again, and I tried for minimum reruns on pics. So, off we go!

Baltimore has some incredible murals but most are in neighborhoods that I don't always feel real comfortable visiting. Didn't have any trouble just overwhelming need to be on high alert while there.

Today I headed north. Never made Scranton but found quite a few murals in Wilkes Barre and surrounding area. 89 murals in the last 2 days bring me to 983 murals photographed since January 2. I've ridden over 15k miles so far this year counting my commute to work. Highlights from today:

@BkerChuck is hereby proclaimed "MURAL MAN!" Thanks for the great tours! I really would like doing that a lot less in the truck, except for AC! great work man!

It's a clone or transplant of something into something! Plate on front says "Road Bee"!
