Q#1 - Why not yes? Hitting high objects at an angle is worse on your alignment and suspension.

Q#2 - I get a better effect letting it plop down with people and a bunch of stuff in the bed!

Probably I went over at the same time but slowly. Also the back tires plop down and that’s where the noise came. 99% sure it didn’t hit bottom of the truck. It’s not as big of a curb.

Do you have mud flaps? If so, the noise you heard was very likely the mud flap hitting the concrete after you dropped down. It is nothing to worry about.

Or is this a troll or parody thread? If so, cheers!

    Likely........

    1 - tow hitch
    2 - mud flaps
3 - low hanging spare mount
4 - leaf spring hanger/mount(s) (unlikely but still possible)

Either way, at the speed in which you slid onto the curb, it shouldn't really have caused any damage.

Any time you are hitting an obstacle, even something like a mall curb, always try to roll over it staggered; never roll over something like that with both wheels rolling over the obstacle at the same time/speed or perfectly perpendicular.
Always try to hit things like that at an angle if you can.

Maybe not, but I guarantee it needs an alignment at the very least.

I’m skeptical you damaged anything going over an “obstacle” as small as that unless you were “sending it”, but if it helps I suggest you take a look with your eyes rather than asking us. I would start by inspecting the hitch receiver for damage. Mine has gouges, bends, and dents. It is low lying fruit.
