What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Interior and exterior cleaning for the first time in months. I was going to wax but ran out of time. Good enough for now.

 

Cleaned my Softopper with Griots convertible top cleaner and installed a Diode Dynamics HitchMount light.

 

And now I have to paint my receiver hitch…..

Deleted my 4x4 switch

 

Pulled my steel bumper off for a bit of restoration. Bumper had bed liner on it, but in a few spots rust took hold under the bed liner. Suspect l'll grind away as much rust as necessary and rebuild up certain spots with welder.

1/2" black trim, whatever type Stellar Built uses

 

Taking the truck in tomorrow for annual Krown (rust proofing) treatment. Dropping the spare and the skid plate so the guys get more access to what needs to be sprayed. This will be the 14th time I'll have it sprayed.... for a truck that has spent entire life in Canada, under carriage is in great shape.

 

Any information on your bleeder unit? Cost, how much psi required to use etc.?

175k miles on this 2007 and she still feels like a new truck.


I installed RokBlokz mudflaps earlier this year. I’m stoked with how the rears are doing, but I did have to remove the front set due to rubbing.
I might consider remounting the fronts with shorter hardware, but at the moment I think I like just running the rear set.

 

How much does this cost?

Did you have a kit where the front is on the outside of the fender or still inside the wheel well?

 

Mityvac from Harbor Freight, 5-10 psi. About 40 bucks.

 

Gave it a bath.

Where do yall go to get coilovers rebuilt? When I swap out my new front I wanna get the coilovers rebuilt and then have the LCAs upgraded.

 

Had a Dobinsons snorkel installed. I think it compliments my black trim well. I have noticed a slight increase of acceleration on highway as well.
