Don't forget the 97 weighs less than our 2019. All the extra safety features and electronics adds probably close to 800 lbs.

Hell, just getting on first shift last week I know I'm gonna gain 10lbs! Now I'm eating lunch and dinner, with the occasional muffin for breakfast. :annoyed:

You guys know the posts I make here are more myself than the posts I make in the 3rd gen section right?
I really need to care less about ignorance.

Yes, I kind of picked up on that... :fistbump:
Fortunately we have a good crew here in the shop.

A lifetime in factories gave me (what i consider ;) ) exceptional control when dealing with stupid people.

    For instance:

Years ago a fellow comes in the shop asking about installing an electric water heater.

I tell him the most important thing is to "make sure the heater is full before turning on the power or the elements will burn out immediately".

He comes back the next week to tell me he got it in -- but had to change the elements out...

Rusty: Did you turn on the power before it was full?
Dummy: Well .... it was ... about half full... (aka - empty)
R: Didn't I tell you that would happen?
    D: Yes
R: Didn't the heater have a sticker over the wiring box saying that?
    D: Yes
    R: Why???
D: We were in a hurry for the hot water...
R: How did that work out for you? -- Get out of my shop.

I've worked in factories for almost 40 years, the level of intelligence is.....strained.
I currently work with 750, it can be challenging.....

You know, I screw up as much as anyone. The difference is, I make it right or figure out what the right way is before I tell people.
I also try to measure my words and think before speaking.
Most importantly, I know there are people out there who did not complete high school who are smarter than me. I respect that for sure. On the other side, there are people with Doctorates who are dumb as a rock. Bottom line, I respect everyone until they give me a reason to deviate from my initial assessment, and three quarters of 3rd gen Tacoma owners give me a reason lol. I like this corner though and am glad you guys tolerate me haha.
