Neat, this? Kinda spendy for a piece of metal, almost half the cost of 18 panels of polycarb.

Adventure park stage one 95% complete. Platform... check. Zipline (not pictured)... check. Uncontrollable laugher as my 6yo flies... check. Still need to build the ships ladder and waiting on rope for a braided railing. Stage two will be a secured pile of logs, cuz who doesn't love climbing around and jumping off a pile of logs!?

^i believe you also need a spark arrester in the flue as well

yes, hot air in the summer, and cold air in the winter-- in the winter, condensate building up in the line is a real possibility without insulation. could also be added later on too.

Insulated ductwork prevents condensation buildup. That's what was recommended and it was on the shelf at HD. 4" duct in the laundry room and 6" duct in the hall and master bathroom's.

90 degrees today. Good times here in Maine. Got the 41' run done and rounded the corner to the narrow section. All the remaining boards are 8' and I can trim the ends once they're all installed. Hopefully wrap up the railings Thu & Fri.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Pretty sure I figured it out. I installed switches in the garage where the power lines enter from the house in an effort to not have to go all the way to the basement if I needed to work on something. Even though I taped the side screws on the switch, the back of the bottom screw was barely touching a ground wire in the box. That's why it had power to the ground with the switch off but nothing when I threw the breaker in the basement. Lesson learned.

Scarf, that's what I meant! You look like you're making good progress.

I started my project last October, I finally got the last deck planks down yesterday. I will start to pluck away at the railings and stairs this week.

Got my fir 4x8 timber rafters all cut

Have the rafters all fitted and secured now

Just need to add a row of 3x6 purlin blocking in each rafter bay that defines the top edge of the glass sections with solid cedar soffit above
