I'm going to need a turtle club decal. There's an infamous video floating around of me having to get winched downhill because of some turtle action

I don't think you realize how BIG those tires are... this like an exponential growth problem going up from 33's...

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
Now if only you knew someone with some fab skills and access to a shop to reenforce the tire mounting.
That is a big heavy tire and mounted up high. It maybe a good idea to move that to the bumper swing out and find a way to move the water up near the front of the bed.

I know limiting up travel is a dirty word, but maybe some bump stops are worth considering.

Boy, y'all were right. Today I got to see what I've been missing:

Had a cool weekend. I took my ex up to the Chippewa River place. We took the dog along, and he figured out how to cool off.

    PXL_20230902_225402558.MP.jpg

She noticed a pair of sunglasses laying in the gravel, which turned out to be the Costas I had lost earlier this summer about 100' from that spot while fumbling around in the kayak. Unfortunately, it looks like they're beyond salvage.

    PXL_20230902_225554768.MP.jpg

We checked out the view at Buena Vista park in Alma while taking the roundabout way back to her parents' house.

    PXL_20230904_194911513.MP.jpg

We also went and looked at what was left of "the Rock in the House", which is apparently being demolished. We snuck up the stairs from the sidewalk, totally missing the new "no trespassing" sign in the driveway.

The demo crew must not be the A- team, as there's broken glass everywhere, including the front sidewalk. This is also why she's holding the dog. To make things better, this isn't even the worst looking house on the block. Sorry if anyone is from Fountain City. :crapstorm:

Of course, most of the city looks pretty nice. There's just a few rough looking ones peppered in here and there.

Also, I might have to follow through with the cargo trailer conversion I keep talking about. My Mom's BF is going to demo this old 5th wheel into a flatbed, and he's giving me the windows, cabinets, AC/furnace, fridge, stove, everything!

Yeah. Long story. I should probably just refer to her as a friend at this point.

Can you even say that on this site? L*^*t tr@%+l... Nope, see I couldn't do it. Those must be fight'in words, computer wouldn't even let me do it.

Having done the swing away before, they don't work for me, in the real-world everyday part of using the truck. A better bolt perhaps... grade 8 as opposed to the crap shoot variety found in most hardware stores these days.

Hottest weekend of the year. Summer finally showed up. Weekend consisted of running back and forth to Bayfield to drop/retrieve my daughter who got to crew on a big racing boat for the weekend. Also canning. Yup, wait until its good and hot to do the tomatoes... Did get up to Marengo lake last evening for some fishing though.

Yes @CygnusX191, just because "ex" is the designation, doesn't mean they ever really go away... Especially if you remain friends. Lucky for me that wasn't either part of the experience with my "ex"...

I thought about suggesting that "B" word.
But friends don't say nasty things like that to friends.:argue:
