It is, in a way. The best way to preserve resources is to not need them in the first place. A population of 1 billion on the planet in the early 1800s is a lot more sustainable than a population of 8 billion now.

China and Russia are supposed to slow down, while Africa is predicted to explode.
Often! I live Idaho, high Mormon population here and in Utah. So it is all relative. Read somewhere that Mormonism is the fastest growing religion right now (will have to look that up, running out the door for work) guessing because of how many offspring they have and continue to.

Have a clients that they have enough family members that they put on their very own 4th of July parade…and it is all family.

When I tell them we don’t have kids I get a weird look and responses, they can’t believe we are like that. Having massive amounts of offspring is their way of life.

Yeah, I have people tailgating me while I drive the Leaf and cut me off and stuff. When they beat me to the red light and I roll up, I'll turn off the ECO mode and then make them question life decisions with they lose a 100ft drag race to a little EV in their big V8 trucks. They seem to get really upset when they lose and then I shake my head at them.

The real problem is folks having 8 kids and zero resources or plans to be able to feed them. Then the rest of us have to pitch in (welfare, etc). I know first hand, since I was in a foster home for a couple years as a kid.

I think having 2-3 kids is a reasonable number. If you are having a literal gang of kids you should be financially well off.

Now ya see. lol! Plus the West Coasters moving here because of political ideals, most of those that I know have 3-5 to kids. Seems to be the norm of the right leaning religious folk. At least in this area.

My accountant of 25 years is Mormon, their Christmas card gets wider and wider every year. He keeps telling us we need to have children for the tax write off, tell him absolutely not! Be happy to pay extra taxes not to. lol!

Why should I do your homework for you? I gave you a reading assignment with literally hundreds of statistics from multiple reliable sources. But, since you want a statistic so badly EV's are 30% cleaner than ICE.

Now, speaking of not having children, it seems Japan has taken it to heart. According to the linked article they are 8 years away from a population collapse. That's when there won't be enough women of child bearing age to even maintain the current population. That also means there won't be enough people of working age to maintain the economy and things just get ugly from there. Add Japan's xenophobia, language and cultural barriers and it will be "interesting" in a bad way to watch what happens next. Based on personal life experience I don't like the idea of huge families. But, I also don't think what is going to happen to Japan is any good either.

You said earlier somewhere in this thread that you love doing math, thought you would enjoy it. Apparently not! lol! judging by the responses I have gotten from you. And we wonder why there is such resistance to converting over to EVs.

All empires are destine to fail. History proves this time and time again. I am sure the planet will flick us off eventually like so many times in the past. It has been through a supposed 5 mass extinctions, arguably currently in the 6th caused mainly by us.

People treat each other horribly, not even sure if the human race is worth saving. I work with the public, do you know what the number thing they complain about is? …other people. Everyone hates everybody else it seems.

I can do the math for you, but I can't understand it for you. If you cared, which I doubt, you need to do the reading. The statistics are in the reports, and frankly I wouldn't trust some guy on the internet number's anyway. It's been proven that on forums 86.75309% of numbers are made up. You have to go to the source, which I provided.

I don't believe EV are inherently dangerous, I wouldn't say they are safer than other vehicles. Which has been the narrative that has been claimed before.

This doesn't have a crankcase full of oil. So it is not dangerous to offroad to risk an oil leak.
