Hey Connecticut, our backs hurt

Not really. I stay back kind of far enough that I don't have to look up too much at it when I'm playing.

 

Town built a new elementary school, that was supposed to be ready by middle of last school year and was pushed back to the beginning of this one.

Supposed to open tomorrow, and because of all the delays they're only doing the school tours today. Going for ours at 11. Mrs already saw on Facebook a ton of people criticizing what they saw. Oh boy!

 

School actually didn't look as bad as people were making it out to seem.

Makes me wonder about people... it really does.

Is it completely finished? No.

Is it as bad as people made it sound to be? No.

All it needs are stupid finishes here and there, and it'll be done. A lot of work went into that building. It's HUGE. But the most important things are completely done, and it's ready to roll tomorrow.

People need to relax and stop being such a pain in the ass and always hard to please.

 

Ordered another off-roam phone mount (should be here end of the week). This one will actually hold my phone.

Another car where the customer tried to diagnose/fix it themselves.

 

Debating on pulling the trigger on a dual battery setup. Renogy is having a pretty good sale on their dc-dc charge controllers and lithium batteries.

Waiting on the RCI sliders and the Sherpa rack to ship.

 

Working on a real truck, a Honda Ridgeline.

I unashamedly love the Ridgeline with the big caveat of "for what it is." Rides great, handles well, very comfy, super clever storage. Never going to replace a BOF truck with true 4WD but for what it is, it's great.

 

For me, a non-offroader, it would carry my bikes, kayaks, mulch, snowblower, mower and do 90% of what I need a truck for. And as an Odyssey owner, it would all be familiar to drive. If it had a longer bed I'd do it.

longer bed - it doesn't have a bed. That's a trunk without a lid.
It's funny they put a bed line on it, but it's literally a truck looking car without a trunk lid.

that said, for what it is, it's plenty for what most need.
I was comparing MPG's today for 2004/2005 Sequoia with 2005 Odyssey. Thousands of dollars a year difference.

 

The man and woman were talking with the service writer when they dropped it off. The service writer said we would have to pull codes because of the "check A/C" message on the dash.
The woman said "let him talk" (referring to her husband). He said "I'm a mechanic". I heard this from the service writer after the fact.

Had the vehicle in the air, someone replaced a couple sensors on the compressor and did a bad job of routing the wiring. It did have the check A/C message and a flashing A/C light which is a telltale sign of a compressor that's about to die or the relay needs to be replaced with an updated one, there is no updated relay for this vehicle. I did not pull codes.

They approved the repair and took a loaner. I should get the compressor today.

Dropping off at the dealer today to see what the deal is with my A/C squeal...wish it was @super_white that was doing it.
Having the trans fluid done while it's there.
First repair in 9 years and 54K miles so I can't complain
