I did a solid OTB today. Got the frame pretty good. Need to do some reading on that. The ride was soo good though.

Rode trails on Redstone Arsenal today. Started in the rain but finished in the sunshine. Had to slow way down on the wet limestone rock. Schwalbe is officially retired today.

Hit up Tehachapi Mountain Trail Association's Lehigh Trails in Tehachapi, California.

You have to pay $5/ for a weekend or $35/ year for a household as the land is privately owned by the family who owns the cement factory near by (a local told me). Wife hit that bridge feature 4 times when I only tried it once lol.

Rode Friday & Saturday at two different local spots near me. Perfect conditions both days although Friday I got out a bit later then planned and had to deal with some 90° temps late on the ride. All that was out on Saturday was equestrian’s. I saw 3 different groups with 8 horses total. Really messed up my flow having to wait for them. Nice friendly encounters though.

Quick update, i got a fancy fiberglass cast today and the great news tat it will heal on its own without surgery! The ER doc thought I'd need surgery and hardware to fix the joint but the ortho said its in a good spot. 4-6 weeks off the bike to recover, then on to fat bike season!

I was riding something steeper and chunky (for my ability, not like an EWS course). I'd only ridden the trail a couple times so i was going sort of slow, front went down the step and stopped, i thought it would pop over but then the back got light and the back became the front, the bottom became the top and i apparently punched a chunk of granite to slow my fall. The result was some cuts, bruises and a broken wrist. The Evo has some scratches on the bars and that's it.
Of course not, trying to sign out of the hospital with my left hand while on opiods was fun!
