Still a bit of work to be done over a couple weeks (because header issues), but cabs on, mostly all assembled. Need to drill out two broken bolts for the fuel sender. She’s just chilling in the garage for now

I'm mostly just fitting things up and tacking.

I welded the skid protection on the back all the way but the leaf perches and flanges are just tacked. I'm going to take them to a local shop to have them burned in. I'm also going to have them burn in the truss.

Why not do the perches yourself? I get the wanting a shop to do the flanges since those being square is critical, but the leaf perches are easy. Just crank that welder up

How's the oil drain on the bottom of the turbo? Seems like it could use a little clocking

I would agree if I was going to have Ubolts. But these are Ubolt eliminator perches. If that weld fails, it's catastrophic because the Ubolts won't be there to hold things together.

I'll be curious how you like those long-term. That was one of the reasons I decided not to go that route in addition to it being another maintenance item - retorquing the bolts.

Enough about turbos and SC’s and going fast. Let’s talk about what these trucks are really good at - going slooow.

    IMG_7275.jpg

Speaking of slow, ordered March 20th and quoted 12-16 weeks. Received today, 24 weeks later.

If you’re on the fence, start thinking about next summer wheeling season.
