Hey, does anyone have a recommendation for a good automotive shop in the Bonney Lake/Puyallup/Sumner/Auburn area?

Just found a leak on my Condenser/Dryer for my AC system on my Tacoma.

I had a good one on south hill (Bailey's Automotive) but i just went to call them and they shut down.

I’ve had bad luck with Goods and Meridian Family Auto Repair. Took my wife’s explorer(before the 4runner) and both places were a joke. Both places were horrible at communication. At one of the places they actually used our vehicle to get lunch and left the garbage in the explorer.

is it very hard to find a shop to balance lug centric wheels?

Before you pay anyone to balance your wheels ask if they have a Haweka. It the most popular brand of lug centric adapters to balance wheels and tires that aren’t hub centric. Chances are if they don’t have one you will be chasing vibrations.

What DT did you go to? That happened last time for me too, and one DT (Renton by Uwajamia) couldnt even get the tires on the wheels - ended up scratching them up (thankfully they were already beat up so i didnt really care that much...) but i'm with you - i want to fuck up my on wheels lol

Holy Fuck I’m going to lose my shit. Called Nitro Gears yesterday to see WTF is going on with my order. I get the it’s in the warehouse I’ll call you back when I figure out what’s going on. That was yesterday. Today I called because I didn’t get a follow up. As I’m on the phone and he’s looking up my order he tells me his computer crashed and he has to get ahold of IT before he can do anything. I tell him I’m the same fucken guy that called yesterday and asked and he should know if he talked to the warehouse. Tells me not to swear at him and he hangs up.

SCs wheels? I thought I heard from someone (@Bertw192 ?) that some DTs won’t mount tires on SCS wheels due to the thick faux rings?

Ive use that DT by Uwajimaya for many years/wheels by as well, luckily haven’t had any issues with damage.

Correct. Apparently DT corporate issued a memo to the stores that they're not supposed to mount tires on SCS wheels. Not only were they having paint issues with the faux beadlocks, but they also couldn't replace damaged wheels, due to the lack of stock availability. Too high of a risk for very little profit.

I did get my local store to install some, but only because they knew me and I go there regularly.

Wooooow, that's a terrible experience. It's stuff like that I'm trying to avoid. I rarely take my truck to the shop, most things i do myself, but sometimes you just have no choice.

I went to Kirkland DT. Great communication from the desk man but not so much great balance from the tech lol. id be glad to scratch my own wheels on the trail but youll probably be seeing me drink my feelings away at the camp fire

That's crazy because Ive had two sets of ray10s and thought the mount/dismount damage on my first set was a fluke. thinking it'd never happen to my next set. copium =/

hopefully its a different story with the blaze10 since there's no thick faux ring.

Was this recently? Kirkland DT was kind enough to replace two of my damaged ray10s earlier this year. im dissapointed by the thick ring design on the ray10s making it difficult to mount/dismount

Same here. The water pump was leaking and on the explorers you have to disassemble a bunch of stuff, like the top and front of the engine. So they said 3 days…ended up 2 weeks and they would only update us when we called for status updates. The other shop when we questioned about the food, they just said oh well our tech has a medical condition and has to ear periodically. No apology or like why the hell he felt it was ok to use our vehicle to drive to get lunch.

Are you going to mount your jack if not what's your plan for transport? I have a 25% off coupon I was thinking about grabbing one but it is really big and I wasn't sure how I would store it in the truck

It’s pretty heavy. I have a safe jack setup to carry. Probably just for home.

Ah I got the same one. I noticed some Velcro on the inside and didn’t see any walls for it. I’m sure there’s an identical awning out there somewhere with walls
