Hi Attempted to install a new FitCamX today (with the ignition off). Did the plug and play as per the instructions and when I turned on the truck, an audible Safety Sense Malfunction came up. I disconnected the camera, and get the same audible message. Do I need to have the dealer reset it ?? Never got far enough to see if the camera worked or not. Not real happy about customer service with no phone assistance but this is the times we now live in. Thanks for any help. Regards Scott

Did you install it with your truck in accessory mode?

I think I just fixed the problem. I did not have the overhead console plugged in cause I planned on connecting the rear camera. Plugged it in and the audible message was gone. Unplugged it and it came back. Now to try to figure out the WIFI and cellular data stuff ??? Wish I understood the tech stuff like you guys do. Guess the console plug is needed even though I am not subscribed to Toyotas app for the SOS button. I'm sure I'll have some other questions here. Thanks in advance.

Does the camera still record if you are not connected to the app ? I use the Bluetooth for my CarPlay to listen to Pandora, and have the Veepeck for my gauges. Thought this camera also worked that way. Thanks
