    @Gen1TacoLady

    I haven't been paying close attention to your problem, but if I'm not mistaken the Zebco 404 is a low-end spincaster.
    Maybe this no longer applies to current production, but I don't think it's meant to be entirely disassembled.
    The steel cup is (was?) peened on.

    The 404 is also prone to snarls.
    Here's what I did a few times:

    I took a narrow knife (stiletto), poked it in and just cut away the line and pulled it out in sections.
    Then spooled new line on the reel.
    This means running the line through the guides on the rod, through the end cap of the reel, then making a small loop knot on the line.
    Pull a hank of the line through the loop, place over the reel below the steel cup, pull the line tight.
    Replace end cap and crank the new line onto the reel.
    Keep the line taut with the fingers of your off hand as you spool the line on.

    I'm sure there must be more elegant ways to do it :rolleyes:

    But I always preferred to finger things out for myself, which means brute force and ignorance :burp:

    Story time with @Gritto. You'll have to put up with my Story.

    So's last night I was at Picadilly Circus on Chinatown with my buddy. We're sitting on the patio of a pub enjoying the evening and a pint of Guiness we were.
    This young man who is obviously gay, (not that there is anything wrong with that just telling the story. Well he is sitting with some guy and on his phone, loud, obnoxious, etc. He turns his attention to another couple sitting a couple of feet away. He picks up the girls drink and finishes it whilst drinking out of her straw. My buddy and I chat to each other saying, that shit just won't fly in San Antonio.
    Young man goes into the pub and continues to pester other patrons.

    We we gets up to leave. We have a plan in mind of where we were going. Back to a pub we were at the night before. Well, low and behold, this young and obviously drunk man is outside and now pestering two young women. Keep in mind there is lots of people in the streets, in the pub patios etc. We'll this drunk dufus grabs my arm. I pull my arm back and push him off and tell him very distinctly to not touch me. Wells I continues on my way and this young fellar seems to have taken that as an invitation to lay hands on me a second time; which he does. I am more forceful this time and yell at home to keep his fucking hands off me. Wells I guess he's so drunk that he wants to get into my face yelling something. Meanwhiles, some random fella comes up and tries to get between us and separate us as I was about to settle this and asks what happened. I explained that I didn't want this guy touching me and he wouldn't stop.

    Well this little weasel walks around from said stranger to my right side. Starts talking crap again and decides to punch me. Little fucker sucker punched me in the jaw by the mandible. So I says to myself fuck this ! So I grabbed this little fuckers arm, twisted it slightly and put this asshole to the ground. My buddy who ironically has trouble follow him was just watching everything go down. Well he says to me that this jerk face happened to bounce off of his knee as he was going down and then lands on the cobblestones.

    Then I simply walked away. I didn't look back. However my buddy told me that a ketchup package may have broken open...

    @Taco-Obsessed
    @MQQSE

    Sorry for the late reply y'all but I don't have great reception when I'm out of the flat and my days have been pretty busy. If legal wants to weigh in then let me know.
