If under the bed is at all on option I’d go that route. Super unlikely to damage your tire there wheeling. Matt just took his spare off from under the truck and it’s in great shape, old but not chipped or chopped.

Ah, yeah I'd stuff it under there for now but keep in mind plans for bigger. That's why I like my size. Went up a shade, can find a bunch of E loads, still fits under the bed.

If I end up with a HC rear I'd consider moving it, but until then, the wheel being stuffed under there is far from the limiting factor.

I dont think bedracks that primarily sit on the bedsides are too much of a worry. If I had to guess the pulling motion of the tire caused this to split. Bedracks dont really do that.

Bed stiffeners, and then shouldn't be s worry.

Jason you could look at going through the bed and bolting to the frame somehow.

Not real happy with how the factory roof rack held up and how much it scratched my roof

There's plastic on the inside under the plastic rails, and it's been rubbing on the paint

My shark fin is too far forward for the OEM i got one of the many 8020 racks and have lucked out because of that multiple times. Have tied down a ton of stuff up there that OEM would have been either a no go or needed a basket or something. Plus a solar panel.

No peeling. Just a lot of little rub marks. Hopefully I can get them mostly buffed out

I was referring to the area circled in red. That being said, I'd put the racks back on if you can't get the scratches out. I'd think those marks would detract more value from the truck than you'd get for selling the rails, unless you're trading and think it won't matter. I know if I was a private buyer those marks would likely make the truck a no-go for me, but if they were covered I wouldn't know they were there.

My bad, I thought the 2G was getting traded for the 3G. Nevermind, had a million things on my mind.

That's just the shitty finish under where the weather strips were. New rack is on. Going to see if my detailer can buff some of this out

Does anyone make anything like this for tacos? Could be a cool chase light setup for ground dwellers.

I actually looked at that route when I was setting up before I had a roof rack for the kayak.

There are a few others out there too.
