The only obvious signs that all is not what it seems with this car are the gauges and gearshift. The A/C has also been removed and I don't think the car has heat anymore, either...

How about this 1996 Buick Roadmaster?

This car lacked the towing package, which means it left the factory with the beefed up suspension and positraction rear end; I am 99% sure that this car has those features now, so just keep scrolling...

 

All B-Body cars from 1994 to 1996 had a detuned version of the venerable LT1 5.7L V8 from the C4 Corvette, but it would seem that this beast has an actual Corvette motor in it!

 

When I first saw this car at the New Hope Auto Show, I at first thought that it was a Chevy Caprice wagon that someone had attempted to build into an Impala SS wagon...

It's manual-swapped!

 

Also, I do not believe that the Roadmaster Estate was available with the CD/cassette combo (sedan only), so this is not the original radio...

 

There appears to be heater hoses running to and from the firewall?
Which leads me to believe there is a heater core in the car.
Making the blower motor work in conjunction with the old school stuff might be tricky.
But it’s doable.

 

I would have never removed the A/C. Also, the smog nazis in California would never allow this car to be registered for road use in their state!

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see more of things like this in the future for various reasons.

 

It’s not as bad as you make it out to be. Those who are determined enough find ways to register vehicles.

But I will say after registering my truck in two Northeast states, it is soooooo much easier. And cheaper. Lol
