4WP rear bumper causing BSM failure. Back to OEM and after only one day no BSM disabled. Steps taken
    Re calibrate by Toyota 2x
    Disconnect battery
A second 4WP rear bumper installed
Now 4WP installed new harness along with oem bumper
The plan is to drive a week or two to see if BSM doesn’t fail. If so back to 4WP re Install hoping it’s the new harness fixing issue. If BSM failure occurs back to oem. The only other marketed BSM compliant rear bumper is Apogeee off road. They are releasing an updated version soon

I have the Apogee Rear Bumper. BSM works as advertised and I've never had a single issue with it. They had a QC issue where the hitch pin hole was drilled exactly 5/8" so couldn't actually fit a 5/8" hitch pin but they were quick to remedy that. It also had a design issue where the hitch pin hole was far enough back that finding hitches that fit could be slightly annoying. I imagine that's fixed in the redesign as they were receptive to that feedback.

Their official thread with lots of discussion and customer feedback is here:

Their version 2 supposed to correct the hitch issue. Was told in few weeks be released. Not sure where they located but I’m pretty sure it was over 300 for shipping.

I would’ve gladly paid $2300 for BSM compatible number if it shipped here.

My rear bumper looks like it’s been through WW2, held by zip ties and screws.

Someone has already linked the apogee thread, and there’s plenty of options opinions and users there. The only other bsm rear bumper I’ve found is buckstop. It was suggested by a user here but has far fewer posted experiences.

Been having trouble with BSM since day 1 after 4WP rear bumper. I’m wondering if the D rings on bumper moving while driving. Since it’s randomly disabling the BSM could the movement cause the radar to be randomly blocked causing BSM to be disabled. Seems I’m the only one with the issue. 4WP wants to re install bumper again since OEM back on and no issues means the sensors are fine.
