Where Tacoma Design Ideas Come From

Alright, these three actually understand it.

 

On my image - Fair to a point, but I go back to one of my statements that IMO if it wasn't meant to be looked at it probably should not have been out in the public. You know Taco eaters are going to swarm on anything coming out on the snack tray, possibly take it as finished. I got this out of one of the more recent shots in the 4g thread, and don't look around too much any more for 4g pictures. Just remembered that one as hurting a bit lol.

Although I agree your image looks a bit better / classy-er, to each their own. The many surfaces and angles (on the theme of the whole truck too) still get me a little too much. At least they're still making a damn truck in whatever fashion. I feel five years from now things are going to get rough.

 

Not for Toyota, but a group reached out to me and I was curious about what goes on in these things. I was the only person in the room with any sort of general vehicle familiarity, and subsequently, the only one with any real opinions beyond, “I like/dislike the white roof..so, when do we get to the part when we get paid?”

If this was an average group of people in a focus group, and these are the people making final calls in vehicle design, well..it all makes a little more sense.

 

8.8B in sales is not 8.8B in profits... they likely don't gross more than 10% per car. It set them back YEARS.

Thank goodness they include certain things from the factory, even if they increase the cost more for every truck. Have you seen the price of aftermarket full size cupholders lately?

 

Like they tired to appease a lot of angry people and just said, "**** it!"

 

Haha. I don't think they sent ANY 4g changes through TacomaWorld ahead of time. Think of all these orphan threads we could have saved...

Anyway, getting around here a bit, think I'm out for today. And I gotta do laundry, kitty litter, and baked potatoes before the rain hits.... all in the same bucket too for Environmentalismsmsmsms!
