Oh yeah, had a VERY hot lap in a modded Audi RS4 down the street from my place. Wasn't super serious about it, but then his story totally fell apart about it being his "weekend car" but having 140K miles in 8 years.

My damn ice make crapped out again. I'm losing interest in replacing it semi-regularly so I'm sure a new refrigerator will be on its way to my house in the next few days.

Circling back to the stupid Jeep lug bolts, she went out of town with it last week (not sure if it was "only" 2 hours away or the full 5 to Omaha, kinda didn't want to know) but my plug appears to be holding.

I sent her the link to purchase the replacement bolts and haven't heard anything so I have no idea where we are on that. She's driving down to Kentucky in a few weeks and wants them taken care of before then so she better get on it...

I'm at that point in life where I've got a 3bedroom house and a second child on the way, where does my gun/hunting stuff go...and into the 1 car garage isn't a suitable answer. Sub-optimal time to be thinking about buying a bigger house but I think thats what I am heading towards, sooner rather than later...

The Off Road has that  brake system too. This might be interesting, just wish it wasn't your interesting problem.

I am neither a gun advocate nor a gun hater. I was terrified of having any guns in the house when I was raising children, even though there were guns in the house when I was growing up(age 12 on up) and I had zero interest or curiosity about them. For me there were times when I was not in the house and my teenage kids were, so knowing that kids sometimes do not listen well and rebel and even if my kids were respectful and followed rules I did not know enough about the revolving carousel of friends to feel comfortable having guns in the house. I remember my Dad speaking to me in general about gun safety but I do not recall him ever giving me a firm talk about the guns being off limits as a safety precaution. Trigger locks, a gun safe, ammunition stored in a different location than the guns and other measures that I am probably not even aware of are all "tools" that can be used to minimize risk.

And while crime and violence know no geographical boundaries, living in rural Maine helps to minimize the need for home protection more so than other parts of the country.

EDIT: And be careful my friends, mods do not like politics and will ban people if the conversation strays to far in that direction.

It’s been a busy day on several fronts here but I did get a chance to stick my head under the dash and give it a look. It hasn’t evaporated in the hot garage so it’s not water from a leaking windshield seal.

It’s very hard to see the brake pedal shaft and seal, there’s no obvious leaks or drips on the brake pedal bracket that I can see, I really can’t see any fluid at all up there. When I feel the brake switch plug and the inside of the pedal mount I get fluid on my finger. There's nothing else in that area that could be leaking other than the master cylinder :frusty:

A Google search returns a recall on certain 2018-2019 Tacoma due to faulty machining of the master cylinder which caused seals to fail. It was only 45k trucks and was base models, mines the OR so it doesn’t apply. There are a few other threads here about the same thing, no resolution from Toyota on the cause.

And the best part, I’m out of warranty by time so it will be replaced on my dime. It’s the fancy hydro boost master cylinder too. Cheapest I’ve found it is $1150 :annoyed:

To add insult to injury I may have to take it to a stealership because the there was mention of the ABS system needing Techstream to pulsate the solenoids during the bleed:facepalm::frusty::frusty::frusty:

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
In the olden Days it was quite common in this area the Gun room did double duty as the new baby room.

The smell of Hoppe #9 still helps me sleep. I thought it would have made a great perfume.
