The previous owner of my truck lost the cubby covers or else they were stolen, I never cared for how easy the OE covers were to remove from the truck by anyone walking by. A couple years ago I added locking cover made out of 3/8 poly. It's been in the open bed in some pretty warm weather since then and it's holding up well. I used the textured marine grade poly which is UV proof.

Since the larger cover came with 2 latches and I was going back with one key'd latch it required a new slot in the center.

    Passenger Side:
I've held off on the passenger side side since I didn't have a need for DC power in the bed. That's changed so I went ahead with a (keyed alike) lockable cubby cover for the passenger side and added the DC power options I need. The USB port has a voltage meter but I haven't added the lighted switch for it. The Lighter socket and SAE power port will be live all the time. Since the meter had a parasidic draw that will get the lighted switch. The setup includes a 6ckt fuse box in the cubby, I chose one that includes the buss work all the pos and neg terminations, that way a terminal strip isn't needed. I also needed fairly easy access in case I blow a fuse so the sub panel is held on by 2 screws that thread into rivnuts attached to the frame. I needed it to be water resistant and I don't have allot of trust those little rubber covers so I avoided anything surface mounted to an exterior surface, it's also hides everything. I used silicone to seal up the cubby openings. and added some 3M gasket to the backside of the door to prevent it from rattling and help it seal it from the elements. The door was purposely oriented to flip down when it's open so it stays open when the ports are in use like at a campsite. The inside poly faceplate that holds all the componets is 3/16" poly and it's pretty easy to make an new inner plate if changes are needed down the road.

I still need to mount a switch to power the USB/Voltage meter and I'm waiting on some 6awg cable for the run up to the circuit breaker.

That's cool. Is your plan for the fuse panel to run straight to the battery?

Yes but it'll pass through a circuit breaker/cutoff switch located next to the battery like many of the others do.

Decided to finally strap the front to prevent my upper uniball from being the limiting droop factor and to stop binding cv's. I do however need about a 2" shorter strap but an 11" was all I had and was able to use it to get the upper clevis mounted where I needed.

Just did this 2 weeks ago. Best advice I can give you is don't use too much thread at once, I measured each section and then doubled that measurement for the amount of thread needed. Also I did not tie a knot in the thread at the needle, just passed the thread through the eye and left a tail of 3 or 4 inches. If it starts to get crazy on you and twist up you can pinch the thread tightly between two fingers and pull along the length of the thread, this will help get any twists out that have accumulated. Hope this helps man, It takes patience for sure. I had to walk away twice and take a break, but it's worth it if you see it through!
