Could just get some of that rustoleum clear coat stuff

Or trade it on a 4th gen before the rust gets bad, which would still take quite a while even if you don’t do anything

IMG_0534.jpg Anyone know if the little plastic covers on the leaf packs matter? I got the leaf packs delivered today and just like everyone else, they’re shredded haha. I sprayed a few coats of flat black on the exposed metal areas but I’m curious about the plastic sleeves. Let me know if ya know, thanks.

EDIT: these are the OME EL111R leaf packs

Nope. They're basically there for shipping and nothing else.

Right on, thanks man. That saves me some time asking for new ones haha. Should they be removed when I install the leaf packs or does it not matter?

Only plastics that are worth keeping are the pads between the leafs, but if you wheel at all you'll lose those eventually anyway.

Sure is a lot of advice out there.

Just wish people had the products on their trucks first.

I like to research before I buy and install. I’ll post a pic of my lifted truck without the plastic shipping sleeves on Saturday
