I keep forgetting to mention that my Della 14,000-BTU portable A/C started malfunctioning. Specifically, the water tank would fill up daily and I trashed the carpet in my room when I tried to empty it into a plastic bin, and also got water on the floor when I dragged it to my bathroom to empty it in the bathtub. I used to have to do this maybe once or twice a summer, and at first I thought it was just abnormal humidity. It quickly became apparent that wasn't the case, and my parents bribed me with new window unit so I would get rid of the Della; I got the $500 Della for free from a friend who was moving to Florida back in September 2021, and this is the first bit of trouble it has given me. Yes, my house not only has central air, but separate units for the 1st and 2nd floors. My room still gets really hot sometimes. Here's the new unit, when we bought it on Monday...

I wanted to share this story in the MegaThread because it will get more traffic here. When I was working as a barback at Puck Live, one of my coworkers' moved out of his parents' house on the outskirts of Doylestown and into an apartment in Doylestown. He had a flat screen TV that wouldn't fit in his car, so he called me up. We didn't think this through and had nothing to secure the TV with. It was maybe a 2-mile drive from his parents' house to the apartment (3 at the most), so my coworker rode in the bed of the truck with his TV to keep it from falling over. Thankfully, nothing bad happened...

 

The guy who rode in the bed of the truck with his TV was Matt, and another time almost six years ago, a cute Puck bartender/manager named Edna rode in the back of my truck with a table; I forget why Edna rode in the back, but I'm thinking my boss Sam might have been riding shotgun...

I really miss the good old days of working at a bar, and I definitely miss working the Sunday shift with Edna. This picture was taken back in January 2018!

 

I hauled a magnolia tree in the back of my truck today.
I actually hauled it about 4 different times.
There is no tree where it once stood.
