There are actually lots of them on that stretch of road. I was limited by the being able to park, get my bike in the picture and not be a general nuisance.

They were about to send the butler down the drive to shoo your broke ass out of the way.

I really could tell you "all of them". These bikes are incredibly reliable with just routine maintenance. There were some recalls and certain years are easier to live with but taking them in order:

2003-2005 Gen 1. 2003 is first year in the US but available in Europe starting in 2001. Some of the early release bikes had valve guide issues. Clearances were off when the guides were pressed into the cylinder head and some bikes "ticked". They ran fine enough from what I understand but Yamaha did replace some cylinder heads. These early bikes also threw off a lot of engine heat onto the rider as they did not have insulation under the fuel tanks. Easy enough upgrade to just add some later.
2006-2012 Gen 2. 2006 and 2007 had a weird throttle cam on the throttle bodies paired with a matching throttle tube that left many owners feeling the roll on throttle was "catchy" almost like an on/off switch. I had a 2007 and while it was noticeable I didn't find it objectionable. There were some electrical issues known as ground spiders for which a recall was issued. Yamaha used a weird approach to grounding everything and some harnesses corroded leading to weird electrical anomalies like dash lights staying on with the key off. There was a recall and a new wiring harness added to fix it. 2008-2012 the throttle cam situation was fixed, a small number of early bikes still had the ground spider issue creep up but not too many. There is also an updated cam chain tensioner that came out somewhere along the line. Most owners update the tensioner when they do a valve check mostly as a preventative measure. I updated mine on the 2007.
2013-2015 Gen 3. 2013 is first year for electronic cruise control being standard but it was limited to 83 mph. This was fixed starting in 2014 and a 2013 can be fitted with a 2014 ECU if desired allowing cruise control up to 102 mph. You can also have Ivan's reflash your ECU to eliminate the limiter completely.
2016-present Gen 3.5. Introduction of the 6 speed transmission. 2016-2018 they all had to be recalled for an issue with the second gear shift fork and gear dogs. This means a full engine out tear down and rebuild with new shift fork and some trans parts. I know owners who have had the recall done and owners who have passed on having it done. None of them have had any failures to date and this includes a few bikes with over 100k on them already. LED lighting is standard.

If you want to know any more just PM me so I don't have to type a novel.......I'm on my second FJR and seriously doubt I'll ever NOT own one as long as I can still ride. For me it's been the best bike I've ever owned. Not perfect at any one thing just damned good at a little bit of everything. Oh, stock seats on all of them suck. Best bet is send your seat to a custom seat builder and let them work their magic. Laam Custom Seats is my pick.

Remember guys, you have to take a picture of your bike for others to emulate, not just write what to do.

No, I’d say you’re good, just Johnny on the spot with the snag before the original photo was uploaded.

The best way to keep the game flowing would be to have a photo of your bike and whatever ready to go for the next challenge when you claim it.

I have spent quite a bit of time in the Fort Mill/Tega Cay area. Was just there this past weekend. Where the heck is this amphitheater??

They just put a lot of money into the Walter Y. Elisha park next to Fort Mill.
