    Should I replace these tires?
Not down to the wear bars but they are from 2018.
    Thoughts?

I'm no expert, but if they ain't hardened or weathered with micro siping, I'd go ahead and get a few more miles. Looks to be a good amount of tread left.
Bought a Harley at the beginning of this summer that had been sitting since 2014, tires still had the little nubbie things on them, so previous owner must have replaced them before he passed. My first thought was to replace them due to age but after my trusted mechanic inspected them he said he'd run them with no worries. They hold air and seem to grip just fine. :notsure:

Unless they've spent a lot of that time exposed to direct sunlight or harsh chemicals I wouldn't find it necessary unless you're looking at a long trip or something. Check your pressure and adjust as needed then see how they feel. Start off a little slower and keep an eye on them. Tires on my vintage Honda are from 2010 but it's garage kept and not ridden any great distances plus it's generally a backroads kind of bike, no highway useage.

Mushroom Head is a real thing. What helmets do ya'll recommend that combat this syndrome?
I have a half lid from Biker Beanies that is my #1 favorite helmet for fit and looks. Good hot weather helmet.
Have another Z1R 3/4 with a clear bubble shield that flips up and this is my 3rd favorite helmet, used for crappy weather.
Just received another 3/4 helmet with visor from Biker Beanies and this thing is going back as it's huge. Fits, but looks huge. Heavy too.
Not really a full face guy, 3/4 with a visor is fine for the most part.
    Open to all recommendations.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
My recommendations if I were on a cruiser:

If you can, get the full face. It opens up too.
I say this as I have come up on a couple that dumped their cruiser on some tight roads when I was up in N Ga.
The dude was ok, but his poor girl look like she stopped sliding with one side of her face. Seriously bro she looked like that marvel character 2 face.

But both of these give you proper protection!

Totally serious. I was up on blood mtn up in north ga with a buddy. I was on my sv650 and he was on his mad max lolking bike from the 80s.
Came around a corner, and saw a bunch of floats (like flamingos and shit)..weird right?!
Moments later I saw the car pulled over the boat, and a biker down shortly after.
I rolled by them both and pulled over to help. The girl was wearing a “brain bucket” as they are called, and half her face looked like a pizza.
I hated it for her; and in situation like that I couldn’t say anything.

What I wanted to say to the dude was: check your fucking ego at the door, you’re not a super bad ass; cause you’re wearing all black and a half lid on.
Pretending to be a midnight runner…. Ya just cost your girl her beautiful face ya fuck-tard.

I think he meant the fact that Two Face is a DC character, not Marvel. LOL

Do as you see fit, but helmet impact stats don't lie. When they crunch the numbers for where the most impacts happen this is how it breaks down. This data is why I run a full face helmet. Having a big fat head that runs hot is why I run one that breathes! I love my Arai XD-4, even if it is an old design.

I crashed in an XD4. Was hit by a 17yr old driving that Tahoe. Talked about it a few months ago on here. It held up well in the crash. I replaced it with the same one. They can feel a little heavy after a day of riding, but then again the vents make it worth while.
My other lids (Krios & Leatt) that are lighter and made of carbon don’t feel as comfortable as my Arais do. The Leatt probably has the best ventilation, but it’s on the dirtbike helmet side of things.

Yeah, I don't have a ton of helmet experience, but the Arai doesn't feel heavy to me. A side effect of my previously mentioned fat head, perhaps? I also haven't been in in all day long like some of you guys. Just short pleasure cruises, but the padding is pure comfort in the XD4.

As stated if the bike had been garaged (tires out of direct sunlight), run them till you normally would replace. Those dont look like they have been ridden hard and excessive heat cycling wouldnt be a concern.

Also, @Built2Ride , I took the peak off my XD4. Maybe that's the why it's not bad for me? Not so much the weight, but the extra drag?

In that case, I would suggest really long cul de sacs that have no intersection and minimal homes, or stadium/fair parking lots when they aren't operating. Or big bank parking lots on sundays. Those usually don't have security as they're closed.

gym parking lots could work too but you'd probably have to go at night when they're closed. But yeah that's tough. Maybe an industrial area on Sundays where all/most warehouses are closed, and there will be minimal/no traffic?

Exact reason I picked up a dirtbike. So far it's netted me one bruised sternum lol

    Sorry pal that's a manual

as others said, i too would suggest full face. they have enough venting these days to keep you cool.

As for mushroom head...armored jacket solves that problem lol. just don't wear one without the other.

Went to Ace's, which is a pretty cool local dealer here. Tried on a dozen helmets, was amazing how the higher priced ones fit compared to the budget offerings.
They had a bunch of the Shoei's and Arai, both feel pretty good. Ended up with the Arai XD4.
And they knocked $130 off the price, so that helped with the decision.
Rode home with it and gotta say it's pretty comfortable. Need to figure out the vents, prolly stand in front of the air compressor and see what the flow is about.

    Thank guys! Appreciate the input!
Edit, apparently my camera lens needs cleaned :p

One thing I'd suggest on it, don't snap the visor down 100%. It helps keep it from fogging the bottom of that huge shield. Love my XD4.
