I have a 2019 Tacoma, my back up camara is very dull, almost black and white.
Last week I rented a Camary. the camara was clear and colorful as is a friends older Toyota.
I have cleaned the lens, but no change. any ideas?

Tacoma cameras have always been awful compared to every other vehicle I’ve been in, no matter the year.

Toyota has learned they can cheap out on basically everything for these trucks and people will still pay $45k for them.

I just bought a 2023 Limited Edition Tacoma for my wife and the resolution on the cameras, (back-up as well as all around view) is horrible. The backup camera on my 2017 is perfect. I took it to the shop, they agreed there was a problem, ordered a new backup camera, installed it and the problem hasn't changed. I haven't been able to get anyone there to check other new trucks in the lot to compare the resolution, but I really hope it's fixable. Anyone else have any suggestions?

It isn't. The cameras are just shit and so is the head unit resolution. That's just how it is.

Okay, thanks for the info. Since the back up camera on my 2017 is perfect, I was hoping there was something wrong with these because these are bad enough that it's going to bug me forever.
