maybe... IDK. it's been 3 years since i was at indoc so i'm sure alot has changed. the commander (not a cadre member, just the squadron commander) that was taking over the 342nd when i was on my way out was a complete dumb shit. he wasn't even special tactics. he was a mechanic and then became a security forces officer. it was hot garbage cause he thought he was the shit and knew everything. he felt quantity was more important than quality and began to make the standrads lower to allow for a higher graduation rate and less drop out rate. it made me glad i was leaving. our commander before him was awesome. he was enlisted TACP and then became a STO (CCT officer). he would come do pool sessions with us and get smoked just like he was in training.

no, i am not a PJ and i never was. i was training to become one. i went through indoc and alot of the training pipeline but a shoulder injury eliminated me from training before i received my maroon beret. i'm a civi now. the PJ community is very tight and if i were still at lackland or in the pipeline i would prob know who he is, but i've been out for a while now...

Oh ok... bummer about the shoulder injury. :/ I know a guy who was eliminated because he injured his knee during indoc, but that sucks that you were eliminated so close to graduating...

thanks man, i still had about a year to go so i was close, but only a little more than half way done. either way, it sucked.

alot of dudes get hurt in indoc. its brutal on the body. in alot of cases it's just luck. some of the best guys get hurt and eliminated and it's super shitty when that happens. i slightly slipped a disk in my back while i was there. i have no idea how i toughed it out. didnt tell the doc's until after indoc cause i didnt want to get set back and start indoc all over again or get dropped...lol.

it is hardcore. but that doesnt mean it's impossible. indoc will be the best and worst 10 weeks of your life. the sense of accomplishment when you graduate is un-real. i can't even imagine what it feels like to graduate the pipeline and put on that maroon beret.

ETD is hell. but the following days after it are even worse... you just have to find what motivates you and keeps you going and hold on to that and remember you are there because you chose to be. you man up, embrace the suck, take care of your buddies, let them take care of you and give it everything you have and you'll be just fine.

Holy crap! lol. I don't blame you! Who would want to go through indoc twice? Kudos, for toughing that out!

There are a lot of factors that you just can't control... and it sucks when they come to bite you...

    It was a joke....

I am NOT Special Operations (My kid thinks I am special and some of my teachers did too). USAF CSAR are NOT Special Operations. We do some things that are sort of Special Op'ish...but not Special Ops.

Just want to make that clear...otherwise I would have to come back on here and call myself out as a poser! :D

My SSgt just called me and informed me i got a 71. he sounded happy and said i was qualified for all the jobs i talked about to him and most others. I dont know if a 71 is good or not but he made it sound good, but i guess thats his job.
