@Empty_Lord just posted a photo of some in this thread a page or two back. They should have TRD stamped on them, if not then they aren't

After looking around a bit I think they do look a little different than TRD headers.

For the mini ITX there was one mobo for 110 but it had the infurior chipset. I did price out a 7600 build w/DDR5 but for $200 more overall it didn't buy me much since the cheaper boards keep me at pcie 3.0 and are more expensive due to being newer. CPU and RAM speeds on the newer are like single digit % improvements. Shared List https://newegg.io/7cbc33f

But ya I did see cheaper prices on Amazon for some things so I'll probably split purchases

Ah ok didn't realize it was mini ITX, less options

Still you shouldn't spend more on a case and mobo even when you can get more dollar for dollar performance elsewhere

Samsung Pro SSDs aren't expensive at all and proven to be crazy reliable; I run a few in my own budget build

I don't recall you gaming so that RTX3060 will suit you well for 2K non-gaming, otherwise you'll only want to run max at 1080P in AAA titles

Ya I'm trying to kill a lot of wants on this one: small, attractive, quiet, low power, AMD CPU (never done AMD). I don't game much but the gf has been bringing up some PC games she wants to try so figured I'd at least get a real GPU, otherwise I would have just spent $50 more on integrated graphics. I'll think about the Samsungs more, but my experience hasn't given me a reason to pay more for them

The case does give me a bit of pause but it was the nicest looking on Newegg for miniITX. For the mobo I felt I was justified going higher since it has wifi 6 and 2.5gbit ethernet on board

TRD headers have a detachable runner, those aren't for a crossover either

    @treyus30

AMDs latest offerings are giving users great bang for the buck, but since you're looking at an older processor, you should take a look at the Alder Lake models.

Specifically the non e core cpus which are much better than the AMD line-up you posted.

    And they cost less.

I agree with a lot of what @Kwikvette said. The case is probably the easiest upgrade you can do later, and probably the cheapest thing (comparatively) you can find used on Craigslist or ebay. Here's a similar build to yours at the same price point with an upgraded CPU and mobo:

    https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yty4n6

Your PSU was also overkill, and your ram was overpriced due to unicorn puke which I assume you don't care about since the case you had chosen didn't have a window. The Trident Z is great ram, don't get me wrong (I use it in my build), it's just got the RGB pricetag. As others have said, it's worth considering an upgrade to your storage as well. For another $100 you could get a Samsung Pro Evo which is proven solid.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that you should try to avoid Newegg if you can. They've done a lot of sketchy stuff recently, and aren't customer friendly at all.

Thanks, but I don't think that PSU will fit?

That's fair. I've personally never had issues with them, but I respect that. It was just the cheapest x570 mITX mobo I could find.

Got it; that case is a lot bigger. I'm willing to pay more to get this thing as small as possible. My only hangup is going new gen (7000 series & DDR5) or sticking with old (5000 series & DDR4).

For the RAM I figured 10 bucks for some cool glowies was ok haha

Newegg went baddie? Haven't shopped for PC parts for like 8 years

Felt like the elven smiths of Rivendale bringing Aldurin back to its former glory for the rise of the true king of Gondor
