Wrapped up all of the decking and got post sleeves, collars and caps installed. Ready for railings tomorrow & Friday. Was done by noon and worked mostly in the shade. Left a 1.5" overhang on all sides as I have a feeling they'll want to wrap/trim the rim joists with 1x8 Azek.

Making 3x6 purlins from some left over 6x12 beam off cuts

Underestimate the power of the Dewalt 744X portable table saw at your own peril lol

Got 1/2 (6 sections) of the railing sections installed. Lost over an hour as the customer had the wrong brackets for the railings. Had to make a HD run for the correct onces.

That's a wrap folks. I'll be doing the same (new PT decking and railings on the 12' x 8' upper deck in October).

Question for you lawnmower guys. I have a craftsman rider I bought at Lowe’s a few years ago. Bought new blades this morning and the part number is right but with the old ones off I can see the new ones have the cutting edge on the wrong side. Old one are stamped on the bottom and new ones say grass side down so I know I have them the same plus the s shape won’t let you bolt them on upside down. What am I missing?

Bathroom fan ducting, I bought R6 wrap, adequate or needs more than that? Quick search says that may be enough but it looks thinner than I expected. I could double wrap it.

Missing? The back of the blade!!

Those first blades were installed wrong? WOW

Regardless, establish rotation direction and go with that.

Yes I know that. It’s opposite the cutting edge of the ones I took off.

What we are trying to say it looks like the original blades were backwards

Yeah, I'm not seeing any difference in the blades. The star pattern & cutting edges are the same. The curved lift portion is completely missing on your old blades.

I didn’t think this was the cutting edge.

I believe it was the cutting edge at one time, those blades have some severe wear.
The lift section is worn right away, you will be shocked at the improvement the first time you mow with the new ones.

Well I stopped just to say thanks @AMarkham40 and you too @RustyGreen. I thought for sure the other side was the cutting edge. Mowed the front and not only does it cut better but the mower sounds and rides a lot smoother too.

    NICE!

I have to admit, that blade wear may have set a new record!!

And the funny thing is I just bought the mower last spring. Only two summers with it.
