Hey guys I need your help again soon. It quit running. No connection to ECM. And no power to efi relay this time. But power to ignitor fuse under dash. So I now have another issue

And when I pulled the efi #2 fuse to pin it to see if it had power underneath the fuse it pushed through into the fuse box on one side. So hopefully someone knows how to get it out of there lol

if i remember correctly if im not getting power to orange wire on e8 plug that would be a sign of not getting power through the junction box under the drivers side dash. and with the efi number two fuse connector magically disappearing back into the middle of the fuse box under my hood im wondering if maybe i didn't have a bad fuse but having issues with the harness degrading and the metal bits pushing inside the box. Texas is so frigging hot im wondering if its just damaged

@Dm93 man. I wrecked my piggyback trying to get it off the existing ECM, and pushed the pin down on my efi #2 fuse under. My hood. And low and behold it's the ignition fuse issue again. Power on both sides but wasn't connecting. I think I have a degraded fuse box under my dash. What would be your suggestion on fixing that? Replacing? Or is there a different solution?

The socket for one leg of the EFI fuse is pushed into the box?
You can usually open the fuse boxes, but they can be a puzzle.
I’ve never had one apart on a Tacoma. But I think Dm93 is in the process of figuring out how to up one up.

Yaaaa.... Figured I had another issue because no way it could be the same issue twice. Went to probe the terminal and it pushed into the box. Also ripped one of the ribbon cables on my newly returned and tuned ucon piggyback. Right after I just put the whole cab back together and was just trying to get the injectors cleaned with bg cleaner and truck died inside meineke shop. So I'm super happy currently lmao

@Dm93 did you ever figure out how to get a fuse block apart? I'm looking for one to buy currently. But just curious

I ordered a new interior fuse box and engine fuse box. So I did some digging on the engine bay. I think I'll need four butter knifes and I can crack it open. If it works I'll let ya know

@Dm93 yep six butter knifes and it popped open. Was not expecting that the underneath was just wires. Thought it would be clips so I could remove it and put my harness into the new fuse box but it's one piece. Interesting

Have to pry all the clips on it at one time and then wiggle it up

hey bud sorry to bother you. is this stating that i need to bridge the connector on pins 2 and 3 and see if the guage goes to full? i just installed new sending unit and it still is reading empty so i think i may have a fault between connector and door kick panel. going to work on it more tomarrow and see

Yes, you can also check it at the ID2 connector behind the left kick panel Pin 2 (Orange) and Pin 5 (Yellow).

Cool thank you. Im good at door connector, so need to pin the one on fuel tank to see what's going on. Man, I've done so much with this thing lately. Dealing with the fuel level issue and the scavenging exhaust issue and then it will be solid again!
