I think we're out of dill. My wife likes it in tuna salad, I buy sweet by the gallon.

I prefer sweet relish but keep a 1/2 gallon jar of Vlassic Kosher dill in the fridge for summer so she cuts those up for her tuna. I like mayo, sweet relish, red onion with a dash of celery salt in tuna.

I’ve cut under it for two summers it might be time to trim some. That could have turned smelly!

I have an eye for that type of limb. Nothing like walking into one of the buildings and seeing a set of rattles sneak under a cabinet. I've learned to reach in and flip the light switch and scan the rooms before I step in...even then I watch my step and never reach behind something on shelves. That can get unhealthy real fast.

The last time we went out west we stopped at Scott’s bluff they have an app for your phone that narrates stops on the trail. We walked up to an overlook that you return on the same trail. We come back about 25/30 yards and there lies a rattler sunning beside the trail it didn’t move until we made a commotion grabbing for our phones to take a picture. I’m fairly certain we had walked right by it on the way up.

I’ve often wondered how many times I’ve walked by one fishing these streams in the mountains and never knew anything was there.

We have a few places here that have rattlesnakes. Thankfully I don’t venture there often. And when I do they’re usually stretched out on the road. I hate driving over them, convinced they’ll reach up and wrap around something under the truck as I do.

What I hate is being able to see it's a snake but sometimes they'll have their head tucked in a way that you can't see the head. I seen a copperhead (in Texas).that had his head on some leaves and I couldn't make it out until it moved. Rattlers (and others that mimic them) will get their head under their body in a way you just can't see it until they flick their tongue or move a little...the head's the dangerous end...

I’ve never run across one right here where I live but if you go 7or 8 miles east of here tward pageland it goes from red clay to sandy and rocky and they get pretty common. We have copper heads here.
